Hildibrand for relic? Really?

I had skipped every ARR Hildibrand cutscene on an alt with a friend, that alone was 4-6 hours (I know it was greater then four hours but I forgot the exact time) with healer queue and giving up finding anyone for second trial and just going to our mains and carrying the other. ARR Hidlibrand is really fetch questy even with cutscene skipping.

I don't know, I recall skipping it a couple of months back and it didn't really take me long at all. I can certainly say it wasn't longer than 4 hours. I think Stormblood took me around 45-60 minutes to finish. Maybe I'll try later on my alt.

But was your endeavor on doing it on an alt pre-flying or post-flying? The former definitely going to take considerably longer than the latter. Regardless of this though, the relics are designed to be a grindy piece of content, and honestly if people are already being sent to their knees by the requirement being Hildibrand then I argue they probably won't make it very far in the first place.

Honestly, the length of the quest is the weirdest complaint/angle to take given the context of the matter is relics, where grinding, and time-wasting endeavors form an integral part of the experience.

I could understand if the issue was the light-hearted, 'comedic' nature of Hildibrand, but man the length of the quests is just the worst possible angle I think, especially when you can skip them. At least that is the issue people are bringing up now at least, which is a positive -- But we'll have to see what actually substance is behind it rather than being too presumptuous about it.
