Tbh while yes there's some people who take it too far I am sure ( there's people both on 4Chan and his own Subreddit who have been planning to be disruptive too when he came back to it, they're openly posting about what they're doing ).
I do think he's at fault for the non-troll reactions.
And he kinda acted like a baby about it when people made the request that he'd change the title or at least tell people that it ain't happening when he knows it won't.
He basically said that if people tell him to do something he just refuses to do it, even if it's a perfectly reasonable request it seems.
I dunno but to me that's incredibly immature and a bit silly to act superior about and act like a victim for.

I think it's understandable why people get a bit mad when they're promised a certain game and then six hours of react content into the Stream he does his Allcraft podcast and then ends the Stream, all with '' FFXIV MSQ '' in the title and having hyped it up for almost a year.
People can make all these excuses about '' it's Asmongold you should know he's like that '', but I mean that's a very bizarre excuse imo.
'' Someone is doing something wrong but it's okay because they always do something wrong '', wat?
It's a situation he created himself.

That's my take on it at least, I kinda feel like Asmon as well as the Streamers and a lot of people defending him seem a bit out of touch with the reality of normal people and how much their time actually matters.
Wasting six hours like that is no joke and it's a pretty big deal to most people because they only have so much free time, it's easy to make excuses for it if you're the one making a living off of it.
Even with the argument of '' you can just check the tag '', it's still a waste of time to have to check in constantly to look at the tag.
While changing the title for him takes a few seconds and helps thousands.

Edit: Also I think FFXIV and FFXIV players are being turned into a scapegoat of sorts, the frustration with his stream turning into react meta has been a growing frustration this past year.
I think people having waited so long does make people more mad about it tho and then you also add 4Chan and his own fanbase who hates the game having planned to be disruptive too into the mix.
I mean even his chat spams him about how he's wrong that it just suddenly started happening with FFXIV, ppl started watching him for gaming content and have become increasingly frustrated that 80-100% of his streams now is react stuff.
