ah yes fun the glorious double standard argument but you see i find it fun not having complex kits and being forced to use even the basics of my kit so therefore we should get rid of complexity and hell while we're at get rid of savage and ultimates cause it's not fun for me. this is what i mean by making BS excuses just fyi it holds absolutely no value purely cause it is indeed SUBJECTIVE. you can't play the favoritism card to only one type of person thats true but you also can't use it as a defense to ignore another persons perception of fun entirely.
hmm yes people not even putting in the bare minimum effort doesn't affect end game thats a good joke got anymore? need i even mention P3s or the fact the preferred PF strats try to put as little responsibility on all the party members for a reason even if it puts far more responsibility on a few members? why can we not trust all 7 other people to just stand in their spot and bait properly? go ahead talk your way outta this. JP players have no issue using PF for prog and DF for completely RANDOM clears. we can't even trust 7 random people to bait cleaves properly and you're expecting people to trust 7 complete randoms that they had no way to FILTER? thats the difference as much as you wanna believe it doesn't affect end game we have proof already of it in fact doing it. cause you can get carried through EXs you can get carried through savages especially as the tier goes on. we shouldn't have to sit here months into the tier or hell later on in the week and just say well you should've hopped on it sooner cause everyone left sucks basically.
this game is at first and foremost an MMORPG or you know a GAME? since when is asking the bare minimum of people heresy? oh wait thats right cause people should be able to play the way they want. even if that means they don't learn the basics like almost any other game would expect of their players hmmm weird how that works right?
also yes you'll have players ignore it or do it and go back to bad habits. but since you have indeed forced this. you can start increasing overall difficulty of content to stop people from doing bad habits like not even turning tank stance on or still not understanding what tank mits are at level 90. as i've said a low skill floor is fine if you have the tools to increase the skill ceiling. also this tool would still be valuable to players who WANT to go beyond the bare minimum as they have a dedicated non fight area to really fine tune their nuanced/tricky parts of their kit. unless you have another person come with you to SSS you can't practice swapping targets for card giving. i mean sure you could target yourself but thats not the same as having to hit a person that's potentially moving around
also i specifically brought up physically disabled people clearing ultimates cause of the exact argument you throw in with people with disabilities or maybe a bit on the slower side in the mental department. once again nothing wrong with them playing the game, hell the people who clear ultimates with disabilities should feel hella proud good on them for not letting their state of body or mind get the best of them. but if they truly wanted to get better they'd persevere and do it. we don't need to baby them just cause they have issues. they're still functioning adults/teens and should be treated as such. you can add in tools to help them yes and should thats where accessibility should come in play not nerfing kits to the ground. people who do have issues either mentally physically etc.. should be disgusted you feel like they can't even handle simple tasks like glaring the enemy or healing the tank when he's low.
idc what happened in WoW this is XIV different game different potential. i'm sick and tried of people going but but see this one example in the past so we could never improve on it or anything. you look at history to learn from it, and games look at history to improve on potentially good ideas that were implemented poorly, or ignore ideas that were implemented almost as good as it could be and failed. which as others in this thread has put it was implemented poorly anyways not even allowing some class specs to clear it.
if you're not gonna put in the minimum effort for the game, then there's no point in playing it. (see how stupid that argument sounds since you're arguing against me using it? with your "If it's not going to improve things, then there's no point in making it mandatory.")
