I really am open to other opinions. Acting oblivious is just something I don't take kindly to. I'm also free to disagree with other peoples' opinions, which I have not been shy about. And I address every single point I can in the process. I acknowledge what others are saying. I just don't agree, and I don't want to get into it with others I don't have a bone to pick with.



Honestly, I'm not backing down, and I'm guessing neither are you. I feel strongly about my opinions. Very strongly. Unshakeable, even. We should probably just call it quits with our squabble. I'm good with that if you are.

But my question is. Why would anyone prefer a slightly larger 2 room small house that is subjected to being demolished for not up-keeping a subscription, if someone can get a slightly smaller 2 roomed apt that isn't subjected to being demolished ever?

Wouldn't it be foolish to ever choose the ward housing? Youd be willingly locking yourself into a subscription just to keep your house.

Wouldn't it be foolish to ever choose the ward housing? Youd be willingly locking yourself into a subscription just to keep your house.

Neither systems are good, in my opinion. No one should have to have their sub locked in just to keep their house, and no one should have to settle for a single room apartment to scratch that customization itch. Everyone should have access to the interiors and exteriors of a house of any size. The systems we have now are deeply flawed and don't go far enough to give players what they want. That is my entire point at the end of the day. Other MMOs handle housing like this just fine. FF XIV does not. Largely because most of them didn't design themselves into a corner with wards that need to be added manually and clog up their servers.

#1Housing is in limited supply, if people want access to housing, if their isnt a open plot, someone house is going to have to be demolished first. (telling them to completely scrap ward housing isnt going to happen, either)

#2 You can make multiple rooms and floor out of an apt as ive shown, but lets pretend that you cant do anything like that with an apt because it doesnt suit the narrative.

#3 If they cant even increase our outdoor item slots by 5 due to the server load it would cause. How do you expect everyone to have access to exteriors? I mean Island Sanctuary is coming and you can already use potted plants indoors.

#4 I think the housing system is extremely solid, for what they tried to do. Im with you on needing 25/50 more slots for a Apt and shared access. But thats it, i think the system is fine as it is. A room is more then enough if you can get creative with it.

It is still a very small space and there is no exterior, they need more slots, you can’t have tenants, no garden, no real room for utilitarian furniture unless you scrap your plans for a nice decoration, only 4 personnel npcs. Everyone I know with a house also has an apartment and an fc room. They are not a house replacement.

Because you happen to know what Island Sanctuary is? Didn’t they tell us to no not get pur hopes up? As for potted plants, you can’t grow everything and again you are using precious decoration slots which are already pretty limited.

A room is more then enough if you can get creative with it.

The fact is that they are still pretty small and limited in comparison to a house which is also in at least two full floors (you can add lofts too). They need to have at least one larger option for apartments.

They announce that we can own and build our house, we should be able to do so. Stop making excuses for SE’s shortfalls.

TBH all im seeing are excuses. Yes, apts are more limited then a house, just like a Small house is limited compared to a medium. You can make a second floor and rooms to your apt, but im seeing people simply swat that to the side and saying "no"

Learn to work around the limitations, rather then saying "i dont wanna do this" and "i dont wanna do that" If i wanna get some potted plants in my apt, i can edit the design to accommodate for them, if i want utility items inside my apt, i work it into the design.

And yes, they should have bigger apartments. No reason not to.

Anyway, SE promotes this game saying I can own and build my own house, they should make it possible. It’s simple. If they don’t want to invest to provide sufficient wards/houses, then they should provide instanced housing and bigger apartments.

It changes nothing for your house. Absolutely nothing. It would only allow more players to have more fun with decoration. You would also have one on top of your house!

Atm you have a house and an apartment (and possibly an fc room). Why so hostile about people wanting to access advertised content? The site in my language literally says “Build your house, individual or collective”. No one is taking anything away from you.
