then redo. Weren't they the ones who said they would "spare no expense"? Or is the company so incompetent that it can't provide either option?
I agree, the system needs to be done completely, and an unlock collection would be the best.
But for the current system you know what the worst offender is? Accessories. They look exactly the same for every job, but due to job limitations you gotta keep a copy for each type. It's crazy.
XI heavily influenced the development of 1.0. Only after 1.0 crashed and burned was the XI design philosophy thrown out. Things had developed in the genre and 1.0 tried to go back in time. So it absolutely has something to do with XI.
It's also the company that said they tried to do a full glamour log and the system couldn't handle it.
Maybe they've tried a lot of things and it hasn't worked out. But the fact that they essentially built the new system over the old one without disturbing it suggests that they either won't or can't disturb some underlying part of it.
The ARR engine and netcode is bad because they lacked time because 1.0 was bad, which was because some of its design philosophy (not necessarily including webcode, and certainly not its engine) was too similar to XI, which was too similar to <pick another horribly roundabout precedent>, so really it's...
Is it too much to ask that we just look at the actual point in question, instead of conflating it with tangential relationships?
And yet they also claimed things like showing Collected Yes/No on minions and orchestration rolls would be impossible. Until a mod did it and they added it after. It's also the company that said they tried to do a full glamour log and the system couldn't handle it.

Yes, the dresser needs a massive overhaul. Adding more slots is just a band-aid fix, but still decent enough until they rework it. The issue lies in the fact that they're adding only 400 slots which isn't nearly enough.
Glamour without restrictions* is long overdue!
If you think so too, help keep the thread going!

There are all these vendors that read your progression and ability to wear / use X. Perhaps that could be brought into the armoire somehow.
Please indicate which Live Letter you're thinking about where the word 'impossible' came out of the dev team's response to a question about this.
The standard response is not "we can't do that because it's impossible". It is "we can look into it but make no promises about future features". "A mod can do it" is a poor example in any case, because the programmer has no liability whatsoever if/when the mod breaks the game in unspectacular ways.
