The content is waiting for arbitrary timegating to eat up sub time tho
Content is simply there, updated on a regular basis. How long it lasts is up to each individual player.
Unreal only completable twice a week.
Savage content once a week.
Newest raid once a week.
Beast tribes once a day.
Shall I continue? Once you're done with your rotation that's it.

I know that...I read the post. The original post that sparked the whole conversation was about the lack of midcore content for light parties, thus our reference to it.
As for dungeons, you'd have to nerf healing on GNB, PLD, and WAR tanks to accomplish that. I more blame how low consequence most mechanics are in the level 90 dungeons moreso than tanks being able to solo the bosses if everyone dies. If tankbusters actually did damage and AoEs had consequence instead of throwing a single heal out to deal with them then you might see the ability for tanks to solo bosses go down a lot. Honestly we need more mechanics like in Dead Ends that give fun things like doom or the esunable debuff from the first boss or much harder ticking dots than what the first boss in the new dungeon does to add a little bit of consequence to mechanics.
I responded Specifically to the post that talks about Rewards and Incentives.
On your point with Dungeons.....I actually agree and can support that.
I liked the Dead Ends, thought it was a Cool Dungeon, and it Hurt when you messed up.

Uh its called pvp, its been there. Go and do it.

HW had rewarding crafting and I really liked deep dungeons and the raid was a lot harder which was a double edged sword but I enjoyed itThe only other thing I think of in terms of longer-lasting and Heavensward is the deep dungeon, but I'm not entirely sure how people could view that as long-lasting, yet not view Bozja or Eureka in the same manner. Beyond this, I can only think of the artificially extended gear gating for crafters.
If it isn't there then I can only think of the fact that the Anima weapon being released in patch 3.15 as being the biggest 'influence' on this, where recently Anemos was 4.25, and Bozha 5.35, if memory recall is correct.
Eureka and Bozja don't count for me because they were single handedly the worst and most unfun bit of content I have ever experienced in an MMO, that's the difference.
But I can only speak for myself. Maybe it's because I was newer to the game that heavensward and 2.0 felt like I had more to do, I logged on every day and had something to work on back then and it was fun. Haven't felt that way since. Though stormblood had peak class design at least, so I liked it for that, shadowbringers had nothing to do if you didn't like bozja, but it at least had a nice story.
And endwalker just has nothing redeemable.

Patch 5.11 had Ishgard Restoration, patch 5.15 had a new pvp map.
Patch 4.15 had Rival Wings and Performance
Patch 3.1 had the Diadem, version 1, and 3.15 had the relic like you mentioned.
Ahh, I forgot that version of the Diadem. There's been...3 versions of it now? I may have been thinking of the 2nd version of Diadem when I was thinking of it, since I believe that version was at 3.55?
