And it's a stupid design philosophy thus why we complain so much about it on the forums. As Jojoya said, providing feedback on the forums is how we have effected good change in the game.

Stupid to you maybe, but plenty of people find it perfectly fine and like the town feel. Swtor has instanced housing and it's lame as hell hiding in your little instanced house with no one to interact with and no other strongholds to run around in the open and look at for that town feel.

I'd rather have a house than not, thus why instance housing is so popular right now. They will never add enough wards to allow everyone to have a house, and for instanced "wards" Wildstar did it years ago where you could have several friends in an instanced area together with all their houses in that instance. The ward system worked when housing was FC only, but they opened it up to personals and caused the current issue. As hyperbolic as it sounds I am unable to play a portion of the game because of SE refusing to let everyone fully play their game. Not because of skill or time or effort, because of RNG due to artificial scarcity since they won't change their philosophy or design. Why should my sub be worth less than someone who has a house, let alone a large or medium plot because of outdated design philosophy?
