I meant the first sentence as not an attack. Granted, I did not mean any of it as an attack, since that is how it is. The Lottery System was implemented recently and any house purchased Before the Lottery was added is now stuck where they are, unless they want to roll the dice with the Lottery. To expect them to drop their house (some maybe being owned since that ward existed) because they are not in the "pre-defined ward" that SE has already said will shift as time goes on is beyond-acceptable levels of entitlement.
The FC plots in the "personal only" wards are indeed in the personal only wards. But there could come a patch later down the road that turns the "personal only" wards into "FC only" wards. Does that mean everyone who purchased the house when it was personal-only should be evicted because the terms changed? No. Because nobody else has been, or ever will be evicted without one of two criteria being met.
1) The owner of the plot not using their plot (entering it) in 45 days, which flags it for demolition. Then fully demolished 2 weeks later.
2) The owner willingly relinquishing the plot.
Anything else is entitled whining and if you get offended by that, then that's on you.
It's much easier to complain than to do something about it for these people, it's better to try and steal other people's houses because "muh personal ward" than actually work for one.I meant the first sentence as not an attack. I don't really care either way, just stating a point.
I'm quite content with my apartment. Have had a house before and don't need one again. I also wouldnt touch this new way of housing with a ten foot pole. *shrug*
For the record, I personally don't see an issue with reorganizing houses so that FCs are in the FC wards and personals are in the personals. If you can get the same plot in another ward meant for the type of housing you have, are you really losing anything outside of redecorating?

it works both ways though, Fcs are grandfathered into personal wards, and personal housing are grandfathered into fc wards. The issue isnt those that had housing before the change. The issue is the lack of available housing, they need to add many more wards and maybe a couple more sub divisions. Ultimatley though, it might be better to create a new style of personal housing and leaving the old style as fc housing. It is abundantly clear at this point that FCs must leave Wards 19-24 to make room for personal player homes. SE has made it clear they have no intention of changing the FC/Personal ward split anytime soon so it is up to players to step up and fix this housing crisis.
There are PLENTY of open FC plots in FC wards which is where FCs belong. It is not fair that a grandfathered FCs can take a plot meant for a player. Sure it wasn't against the ToS when they bought the plot, but they are taking up precious space when they have alternatives - a luxury private players do not have.
By staying in a PERSONAL ward you are denying housing to other players AND allowing an RMT shell FC to take a spot during the next lottery. I don't know which is worse.
If players can't step up and do the right thing then I propose that SE gives these noncompliant FCs a 30 day warning to get their homes in FC wards. If they do not want to comply then give them a full gil refund of their plot.

there are more personal houses (mine included) in the fc ward i am in, i think its fair that there are grandfathered fc houses in personal wards.

it would be literally impossible to do that unless they made new wards (which they should anyway but not for that reason)For the record, I personally don't see an issue with reorganizing houses so that FCs are in the FC wards and personals are in the personals. People (who wan house but don't have one, often) tend to not like grandfathered housing anything.
It's not like we haven't had new housing released with FCs (and relos) getting the first dibs.
Considering that, giving some personals from the get go is improvement for the benefit of private house fanciers.

Maybe what SE should have done was when Empyreum came out, it should have been FCFS - FC relocation only - same size plots. Let FCs move to a new area in the FC-only wards but not change house sizes. Of course, without an incentive, I don't know why they would move unless forced to do so.
