Can we not shame people who don't like the MSQ?

I liked ARR, loved HW, loved StB (I know I know), loved ShB (at least the base story). None of the criticisms of it bothered me and I never commented on it. EW was a huge disappointment on numerous levels and it was enough to make me sign up to these forums to make 200+ cringeposts. Suddenly, with EW, it's a huge deal? Very strange and seems desperate... someone who has been here longer than me and disliked the earlier MSQ would have to relay their experiences to me. Was the defense always this rabid, on this end?

I love seeing a certain group malding severely while others are enjoying the content they are given, even with all its flaws.

"Given"? This is a game that we pay for, plus sub fee, not Squeenix smiling upon us from on high and showering us with wonderful "content" that we must praise no matter what. Real "am I out of touch? no, it's the children who are wrong" feel to this post.
