Its literally QoL and aesthetic appearance thats literally all most mods provide. a handful also give automated callouts, but even those have no impact on another person's experience. why do you people care if someone uses mods/add-ons when it doesn't effect you at all?

But those people who don't raid, have the raiding community, streamers, and other content creators to blame for it.

People just wanted to change up their characters, clothing options, and certain graphic enhancements for great photos. However due to the putzes who broadcasted their use of Addons and alike, they have forced SE's hand to take action, not against one part of the community but the community as a whole, because idiots can't play a game, a game mind you that is super easy, without Addons holding their hand.

I'm sure that as SE looks into this, they could take a more lenient approach to those who, use cosmetic/graphical mods opposed to the, "Raiding is srsbsnss community." who demands that they can use Addons to give themselves an advantage in content. I hope all these Meta-slave world firsters, are rethinking their approach to content, or their "Accomplishments." may not be valid anymore.

It's even more amusing when you consider that even the addons that do give an advantage, don't give one in the world first race. Because the timeline of the fight needs to be put into the program first for it to be able to do anything. Which requires people clear the fight first.

The /truth/ is as follows: People are upset that they have been breaking the rules with impunity and suddenly they face(what they knew all along) that their actions have consequences. Now we reach a turning point, knowing that they are acting out of step with the rules established for the game, will people decide to stop using add-ons, or will they create parallel excuses for why they particularly actually deserve to use add-ons. -I mean they can't tell I'm using them. -Who are they to tell ME what I can do?!-

Did you read the rest of my statement which included mention of programs like Cactbot which provide automated callouts. But as I said before none of those have any sort of impact on another player's experience with the game, so why does anyone care what another player is doing?

This all stems from SE failing to do basic updates to the UI QoL, things they have themselves admitted they failed to do.

There's a notable difference between fanart, and using the game itself for the pictures. Especially since the later needs you to mod the game.
