Lets not discount the edgelord's on a witch hunt looking for people who are just parsing and mass reporting to Square Enix for their own self appreciation isn't a form of harassment? Like them or hate them, they aren't giving anyone an advantage or a hacking/cheating program. I don't use and 3rd party tools myself but I don't have anything against people using them for their own self improvement or for situational awareness.

I'm just put off that a bunch of MMO Karen's on a Witch hunt using Square Enix as an ion cannon to shut down people using parsers. And Square Enix is basically letting them be used in this fashion of mass reporting by a bunch of shitty Zerg-rush assholes who literally fish around FFXIV streams all day because they're losers with no life and nothing better to do.

Do they all go on the same Discord channel and give themselves firm handshakes and pats on the back for jobs well done for their mass reporting?

All Xeno does in that video acts like the victim and victimizes the streamers who got banned. These ppl knew the risk of streaming with addons and are the ones to be blamed for their actions. They are not the victim, in fact, there is no victim here. SQ and devs will take action against those who openly break TOS and they are not changing things around. 3rd party add ons and mods have always been against TOS, the only thing that has changed is the fact they are forced now to take action bc ppl are getting too fast and loose on using these things in the open. As long as you go by the "don't show, don't tell" mindset everything would ok, SQ be happy to look the other way but at this point they can bc these streamers decided to put the use of 3rd party addons into the public eye and forced the dev and SQ to take action.

I would say bans matter a lot more when you pay for your time in this game. So calling it a slap (yes its slap not slip) is pretty disingenuous.

Furthermore Zepla is softspoken and is nowhere near as aggressive as Xeno.

But it shouldn't really be about who has the better video. The more streamers that discuss how obtuse Yoshi is being about it the better.

One thing I have a learning disability so I misspell things sometimes thank you very much. Also if your time in game mean so much then dont take the risk of breaking tos. Streamer knows full well this addon are against TOS and can lead to them being ban. So if they truly care about the money they spend and the time they put into the game then dont openly break tos. The reason I say is a slap is because it could had easily been a prem ban considering they are in the pubic eye and SQ is looking to my an example of ppl who uses these addons. Like it or not streamers do have a lot of attention on them and they do represent the game in alot of ways. So if the devs see the streamer openly breaking tos of couse they will take action. A ban speaks alot louder than a simple suspension and dont do this again. Also to MagiusNercros I just changed to a catgirl sunday :P I was a viera just like you so I guess that makes you have bad takes too.

As far as I'm aware, this is 10-days during a prog? Not even a "warning"? Regardless, the thing about a ban or suspension in this game is that they might as well be a permanent mark on your account. They only go away after about... what over half a decade? Any further action on their account will be another strike, eventually they may get permanently banned, and it could be over an accumulation of relatively minor 'infractions'.

Well, I change it maybe its more than a slap but I still think it's not that big of a deal. Trust me these streamers will come back from this ban with bigger numbers in views and subs and its not going to hurt them. :P Either way I do hope they learn to not openly display their 3rd party addons bc I think they were really dumb for doing that in the first place and the punishment is well deserved.
