The only reason why Tanakas version didn't work out was because it was less than half done. I bet it would have been an awesome game if they would have done it 100% and not so lazy.I'm certainly not bashing it, I haven't tried it, I hate FPS and competitive gaming in general so ... nope
Yup and as Elexia points out often Tanaka tried to be unique and it got him kicked off the project and FFXIV/SE brandished with a bad reputation
Lets not forget there is a huge HUGE HUGE difference between making a 2 hour platform game and an MMO with 100's of hours of gameplay.
Journey could probably afford to be unique because its short and probably cost peanuts to make.
