Thread should be locked, it has nothing to do with FFXIV and Journey isn't even an MMO..
What exactly is there to learn from this game anyway, please tell us ?

It is a very cool game, I just wish it lasted longer than 2 hours.

Journey is an experience. An absolute must play if you have PSN.
If you haven't done so already, do yourself a favour and also pick up Flower.
The only people who would bash either of these games are mindless FPS/MOBA morons. Sorry but it needed to be said.

My money is on it being a sly "open world exploration" thread. Being that Journey is about exploring an "open" artistic world. Open being used lightly because in any game you're still in a box.
The irony in the example is that the game only lasts 2-3 hours then you're done. Yet it's supposed to be evidence of something for an MMO which needs to hook players in fight a smidge longer than three hours.
Really? Because Heavy Rain is one if my favorite games and I really have zero interest in any of thatgamecompany's releases. I'll give respect where it's due, they're beautiful. But they're not really games either. The only people who would bash either of these games are mindless FPS/MOBA morons. Sorry but it needed to be said.

It is a fun game that doesn't involve shooting a gun.

I'm certainly not bashing it, I haven't tried it, I hate FPS and competitive gaming in general so ... nope
Yup and as Elexia points out often Tanaka tried to be unique and it got him kicked off the project and FFXIV/SE brandished with a bad reputation
Lets not forget there is a huge HUGE HUGE difference between making a 2 hour platform game and an MMO with 100's of hours of gameplay.
Journey could probably afford to be unique because its short and probably cost peanuts to make.

The only reason why Tanakas version didn't work out was because it was less than half done. I bet it would have been an awesome game if they would have done it 100% and not so lazy.I'm certainly not bashing it, I haven't tried it, I hate FPS and competitive gaming in general so ... nope
