Degenerate is just a synonym for pervert my guy. And those 14 has is spades so its pretty applicable.

It's not and it's not how it's used at all.
Even as far as perverts go, I think that most people have absurdly low standards for when they call people that too.

Edit: When I think of someone who's a pervert I think of someone who's drilling holes at toilets to peep at people or to a lesser extent if we are to use FFXIV people who spam whisper someone ERP against their will while dry-humping their character.
Basically someone who breaks and doesn't respect peoples boundaries at all.
I don't think of someone who just plays a Miqo'te and stands around in Limsa in swimwear/ the 2B legs or does consensual ERP, that's just people having fun their way and not harming anyone.

I don't believe that FFXIV has actual perverts in spades at all I think most people are perfectly chill and are just having fun.

And they aren't designing anything for furries, that is correct. Just as much as they're not designing anything for "the gays", a comment I heard when Male Viera was dropped. But you're missing the point of why furries were even brought up in the conversation to begin with. Many people are playing Hrothgar without belonging to the furry community, and are being called furries as a slur and are discriminated because of that. No one said the race was a furry race, in fact it's the exact opposite: Hrothgar are being cast out by the community as the furry race. Yet you'll find furries everywhere. As Hrothgar, as Miqo'te, as Roegadyn and yes, even Hyur.

Read what I said please. I said "furries are into the race", not that the race is for furries.

And I said it because people tend to shove that as a slur and make people feel bad for enjoying Hrothgar characters.
