I can't speak for the other major sports because I don't watch them, but taunting in the NFL is a 15-yard penalty.Sports are a re-enactment of war with rules. While death threats are unaccetable, its perfectly fine in most sports across the world to taunt your opponent, especially in blood sports. We are fighting with weapons and killing one another and yet taunting is too much? Please.

Also it's "your" social skills.
Sorry, but I'm going to sweep with my little broom when I can in Crystal. I do this in FL when I get the chance and it has never once been reported or considered harassment. It's all in the spirit of the game. If some hotheaded DRG is trying to flank and my teammate peels for me and we kill him, I'm going to sweep on his dead body and he is going to watch. His flank failed and he shouldn't have gone off by himself. Lesson learned the hard way. If people are messaging others after the game is over with toxic remarks, that is a completely different matter and should be reported.

Shall report when I see ya do it.
If you're still going to do it even when you know people are getting banned for it, then you deserve the reports and consequences youre going to get.Sorry, but I'm going to sweep with my little broom when I can in Crystal. Tell me, are you also reporting WHM Cure II abusers? When you see blatant speed hacks, client sided shenanigans or other forms of cheating, do you report those too? When a player offers advice in a dungeon to a new or inexperienced player, do you report that as well?
This is the toxic positivity that is currently ruining the entirety of FFXIV. Don't give constructive criticism or advice to anyone about anything. Tolerate all levels of gameplay and skill, even in more difficult content where a level of performance should be expected.
Like... Obviously be polite to your fellow party members and people you interact with. Report any real toxic behavior. But a taunt after you kill someone who had poor positioning or timing? Completely reasonable in my opinion. Granted, doing it in excess is also wrong, but one could argue that a DPS who is constantly flanking BY THEMSELVES and trying to kill an AST repeatedly is also toxic behavior in CC.

Imagine being mad about / getting punished for emotes but scripters and bots are still free to do whatever the f they want. lmao.
All this thread did, and the one on Reddit as well did, was reaffirm the thought that I can live rent free in your head every match and tilt you to uncontrollable levels just by KO'ing you in game. Yummy.
The stupid thing about these Rules, is that even just the Chat Macros alone, can be easily interpreted in multiple ways. One wrong input at the wrong moment, and all it takes is one manchild who cant take one spark of conflict to get you suspended for a whole month.
I feel like removing emotes will just bring the natural online communications of "Jumping on corpse" to take over. Hell, if we had a crouch, we would probably see it done on top of people as well.If people are getting upset over someone emoting over their dead body I would be concerned if some of those same people decided to take a break and play Mortal Kombat...
All jokes aside, if we're about to start punishing players for this why not take the easier route and remove the ability to emote altogether?
It's natural that people would find a way to make the other guy rage and therefore lose harder. It even literally raises your win rate if you can do it soon enough in the match because now the guy has lost some measure of concentration. And in this RNG fest that is CC, every advantage needs to be taken.
