Well, I did all the BLM and WHM quests. Half of the BRD (no AF) quests, then I did some Iffy runs, all in a two day period. Then I went and helped some people with their DH/AF runs. Comming up to a week after patch, I'm nearly back to 100 Anima, and have been doing lots of Cutters, DH, Ifrit and random AF help, as well as of course my crafting.

So I think I do a decent bit of content. I'm sure others do more, and wish to go faster. That is not a problem. Perhaps they want to do as quickly as possible no matter what the (anima) cost is. Again, not a problem.

But so many people complain about lack of challenges, then when faced with an opportunity for a challenge (basic anima management) they want it abolished... then they will complain about lack of challenges.

The issue I am trying to stress is not that there should be a faster/cheaper/better way of travel. It's not that I want to do things slow so everyone else has to. It's quite simply:

Within this world there exists a means of travel. If managed smartly, intelligently, and with foresight it can be used for great advantages. There exists a challenge in understanding how to use this, and benefit from this. Let us not remove this challenge.

Do you do alot of stuff solo? That could help explain anima disappearing. I tend to do things with friends so we share the anima cost. Or if I'm helping someone else, they teleport me. The nice thing is in a party of 8, only one person pays. But if you tend to consistently do things on your own, then I can understand you running out of anima faster. But it is sad if you can not be with party more often ; ;

Me being able to teleport around the world, freely, whenever I want with no limits and being able to enjoy content all over freely does NOT affect you, but I am being punished by your opinion and the current system that is restricting this.

The best solution in the end though, is paid travels, like Aion, like Tera, like every other MMO that does it right and SE Cant do it right, has. This would not only make people happy to get around quick, it would also be another addition to the "gilsinks".
I do not think you are being punished by other people's opinion (keep in mind, it was not other people's opinion that resulted in anima being made as it is, nor the world being designed around this concept). Yes, the current system does impose this 'restriction' on you, but then again, everything in the world was designed around this restriction.

You are being sent to a far away part of the land to finish a quest, because the quest (storyline/etc) wants you to travel far to finish off the quest. If everything was meant to be done instantly all the time with no cost, then it kind of negates the whole idea of the quest being designed to have you travel around the world.

Which then suggests the quests shouldn't even be like that to begin with. Eventually we'll reach a point where it's:
Click to start quest.
Click to finish quest.
Wear super gear.
Make big explosions on screen.
GO play something else because your done.

(Only a slight exageration, but if we compiled EVERYONE's rants on the lodestone and their critisims of anything that smells like a challenge, this is what we would end up with).

Anyways, perhaps I'm overly weird and enjoy that there is a minor challenge in anima management, and take a bit of personal satisifaction that I am able to achieve a fair number of things yet still have anima at the end of the day.

For those who are finding it challenging, maybe we can have more discussions on strategies to conserve anima (we have lots of those on fighting Iffy, and making money, on levelling jobs, so why not on conserving anima?).

For those who want to use it freely without restrictions, maybe SE can introduce some content that lets you buy something for a billion gil that gives you unlimited Anima? ^^:;
