    [dev9999] Anima Limit and Favorites

    ookai; I was thinking that while getting lambasted for thoughts on anima removal was bad that she might make another thread ^^; With changes~!

    Possibilities:
    1) Remove 100 limit on anima or make it 2-3 times higher so some can be saved up
    2) Make your favorites FREE, but you can only change them once per real life week
    3) In conjunction with #2 make it have a 15 minute timer to prevent spamming

    That's all I can think of now based on reading the comments on my previous thread but #2 is my favorite choice.

    How does everyone feel about this? Please build a better community and limit this thread to constructive criticism; leaving the flaming and arguments for zam.com or 4chan.

    Remove Anima, no need for it, many games work without it, why cant XIV? (Or at least make it a spell so its based on MP! + Level Requirement)

    spells would be abused unless there was a 15 min cooldown.

    In other games they cost items or money
    I would say 6k Gils for teleport to camps inside the same region, 12k Gils to another region and 50% to cities and favorites

    Make it a spell/action/ability that has a 30 min cooldown.

    allow it to be macroed for example /ac "Teleport" <Camp Tranquill>

    or

    Pay the Aetheryte some gil 100x level (5000 for lvl 50) to use it as a node to node transfer kind of deal. (get a discount if you use an Aetheryte from town)

    Require the player to complete a quest chain at each camp to unlock the permit to teleport there.

    MP costs are nothing and it can be regenerated in an instant. Not so with anima. The requirement for using a teleport is also having visited the place before, which depending on your level, might not be possible.

    Leave the 100 anima cap alone. It's plenty big!
    Leave the regen rate alone. It's plenty fast!

    (FYI: I did all of BLM and WHM, and a bit of BRD (NO AF), and never dropped below 60. Already back to over 80. Handing out teleports for free... ).

    Add a Grand Company quest to be able to have a seperate list of Grand Company owned 'favoured' camps.
    For every GC Rank (or two) you can add 1 Grand Company Camp to your favourite list (for a price).
    -- I.e., 5000 seals let's you favourite a simple camp, 30,000 seals lets you favourite a distant camp, etc.
    (Good one to use seals, follows the idea behind already being able to favourite a camp, and restricts to which ever grand company we are already in. Also limitations means it won't be greatly abused).


    And Chocobo Gear that makes riding via chocobo faster!
    -- 10,000 seals buys you light-weight harness, chocobo speed increases by 10%
    -- 30,000 seals buys a sporting harness, chocobo speed increases by 25%
    -- 500,000 seals buys you a Harness of the Gods harness, chocobo speed increases 200%
    (and so on).

    I vote leave it the way it is now. If you're running out anima, you should try running somewhere for a change, the world isn't THAT big.

    I run places most of the time and still ended up below 20 anima, the problem patches cause though is that people become impatient and want to complete the quest as soon as possible.

    The only time we hear these threads are after new patches.

    Even in FF11 we had outpost warping so I don't think its uncalled for to want something a bit more intuitive and convenient.
