Frustrating relative lack of LGBT NPCs in this game

tbh I wouldn't care if any were added or not. It doesn't effect me in any way. But if a character like that was added, I wouldn't be bothered by it unless it felt like weird political propaganda.

I agree with you. the original post just bothered me. like does a gay character have to roll in and act gay? i feel like this game has lots of gay/feminine characters. these cry baby woke people need to chill. i know I'm a asshole but the game has been really consistent with the content and if they push someone like a very gay character it will ruin the flow. It not a big deal if they have a gay one just not a flaming one with a tee shirt that says "Im gay look at me".

would it really change much and ruin the flow if Meonbryda was a guy, or if during some of the thousands of lives Emet lived in the sundered world he had romantic relationships with men, or if Magnai asked a some pretty bunnyboy if he was his Nhaama? We are not asking someone to come around and yell '' yes, I am gay gay gay GAY NOTICE MY GAYNESS '' while wearing a rainbow shirt or anything, just well implemented good characters that bring good stuff into the story that just happen to be same sex attracted, or involved with someone of the same sex.

I mean, in that same vein, it can be thrown back at you. If indeed it matters so little and has so little importance, why would changing it do anything? Why would a change so insignificant mean anything to anyone? This angle holds no water because it relies on demeaning the importance of something to null, but if that's so, why try so hard to change it then? Ultimately, when making a positive change (AKA: A change to something already set. Not necessarily good or bad), it falls on you to debate why that change should be done and "It's not that big a deal" just isn't a compelling case. What would it add to the story? Why would it be important? Or are we just throwing random letters in there for the sake of rainbow marketing?

Then let me throw it back at you, if it's so meaningless, why is it nowhere to be found but opposite sex couples and romance is the standard? If it's no big deal, why is there any freaking oppostion at all ever regarding this subject? If it doesn't matter, why are people debating against it?

I think diversity, when done right, is great. I think there is a barrier regarding same sex couples and attraction being showcased in media that needs to actively be broken until we can say things like '' OH IT DOESN'T MATTER '' when people get bent out of shape with the mere idea of gay couples and attraction being showcased more prominently in media. I'm not saying it's you, but there are plenty of posts in this thread that imply as much.

Okay, so your response and primary motive for making it happen is "nou". You ignore that it's your responsibility to present the case because you're the one making a motion for change. That's.... kind of how debate works.

This is why people don't feel compelled to include it.
