The difficulty scale for content is something like this:
Story Dungeon
Story Trial
Solo Instances
Expert Dungeon
Hard Trial
24 player Raid
8 player Normal Raid
Extreme Trial
Savage Raid
Ultimate Raid
PvP is in its own world so it’s not listed here

i say expert dungeons , hard trials and 8/24 man raids are on the same difficulty in 6.x
The main problem is people that are enjoying the content or the difficulty dont say anything. So what we have on the forum is people complaining about the content, difficulty, job mechanics and with Yoshida being a people pleaser he fixes it for them. What SE needs to start doing is putting surveys out regular and actually see what players want and stop listening to week one rants of "I cant do this"

but they do not fix it for no one on the forums. they look at data of how much people play any content . that is why after the deap dungeon of 4.x we did not get one in 5.x as not much played it. over all yoshi want to make this in to a game that the legal bots (trust) can do all and any content. for this the content need to be retardedly easy. The main problem is people that are enjoying the content or the difficulty dont say anything. History says otherwise. Hard dungeons were harder versions then people complained fights was nerfed. Every 24 man after the first few weeks fights are nerfed. Same goes with trials and raids . As for no deep dungeon in 5.x it had nothing to do with no one playing the previous versions. It was stated multiple times that they just didnt have the time to make it.but they do not fix it for no one on the forums. they look at data of how much people play any content . that is why after the deap dungeon of 4.x we did not get one in 5.x as not much played it. over all yoshi want to make this in to a game that the legal bots (trust) can do all and any content. for this the content need to be retardedly easy.

you don't get history correct then. Hard dungeons were harder versions then people complained , that is correct . but SE looked at how much people cleared it and even take part in it. deep dungeon was a clear case of not much people playing it. even less finishing it, it was infamous for being the 30 first floors run only. but prove me wrong and show me when they did make content a bit harder when people asked for it.History says otherwise. My understanding is that (Hard) on a dungeon is not actually meant to say it's objectively a difficult version, but rather to differentiate between a dungeon and a later (higher-level) incarnation of it when we go back to the same spot; the "Hard" is a completely different dungeon which just happens to be set in the same spot as an earlier, lower-level one was. We go to the Wanderer's Palace twice, so there's "The Wanderer's Palace" and "The Wanderer's Palace (Hard)". We go to the Fractal Continuum twice, so we get "The Fractal Continuum" and "The Fractal Continuum (Hard)". Same for the arboretum, etc.
You could just as easily label them "II", like a sequel. "The Wanderer's Palace" and "The Wanderer's Palace II: the Mamool Ja Menace". "The Fractal Continuum" and "The Fractal Continuum II: Mandelbrot Threat". Whatever.
None of which is directly relevant to the alliance raid tuning, admittedly.
(...though, I actually kind of like "Mandelbrot Threat", and now I need to find somewhere to use that.)
I aim to make my posts engaging and entertaining, even when you might not agree with me. And failing that, I'll just be very, VERY wordy.Originally Posted by Packetdancer

Man I remember during Orbonne when it was fresh. Most fun I've had raiding since, ever, really. Shame these newer 24-mans are easier.

I noticed this too, first week it was like "oh no... is this gonna pug like that FFT raid again?"
second week, super fast stuff melting like world of darkness speed
Not sure where you are getting not many people playing deep dungeon? As for only doing the first 30 floors (palace) that was just for speed levelling jobs lots finished it, as you needed to so you got your weapon. As for higher floors that was only there for a challenge 101+ on deep dungeon and 31 plus on heaven on high. Everything worked as intended.you don't get history correct then.
