Absolutely it is. Good grief. The only players who are currently owed a house, are those who won the lottery fair and square, and instead can now only look at a giant red square where their house should be.

The entitlement of some players does every bit as much to perpetuate the housing issue as does the limited availability. The latter is what it is, and because of that housing is a privilege, not a right. Absolutely no one is entitled to a home with the very, very certain exception of the afore mentioned recent lottery winners.

At least they can remove housing tag from advertisement or include "Housing Lottery" tag or they can use mini apartment room picture to avoid false advertisement.

before it had nothing to with luck all about auto clicking bots which would gurantee inhumane reaction and clicking so any normal person never had a chance. Before it was bots now its Purely luck all this does is remove ordinary people from having chance to get anything ever .

Ordinary people don't use bots, because that's cheating and a great way to get yourself banned.

So yeah, I'll take the lotto thanks over a garunteed fail state in the form of bots.

Also the massive deincentivization to scalpers and RMT jerks, because they can't actually sell anything now, removing one enormous pressure on the market entirely.

There is a mechanic for earning a house in the CONTEXT of the game. You have to put in in-game effort to earn the money to pay for it. Adding to that a luck of the draw, or even the placard clicking pvp system is unreasonable. Expecting to be able to purchase something when you have the money is not "entitlement". Nobody is expecting to be just given a house.

As others have said, I agree with your message, the housing system is truly stupid.

But your presentation didn't really help, not that we all haven't been guilty of posting badly when emotional/passionate.

Look, no one likes how limited the housing system is. Even people with houses complain (we're limited on how many items we can place inside and outside and it can be super limiting sometimes). These problems have existed since housing was opened to individual players and they wont be going away. It's like this every single time. The new system didn't change anything except give people a break from carpel tunnel.

Is it shitty? Yes. But in order to change it they'd have to take the time to do MASSIVE reworking of it. That requires a lot of things they don't have because well, SE takes the money the game makes and puts it elsewhere. I hope now that YoshP is now on their board he can get a better budget for FFXIV and we can see improvements on things like this, but it's going to take time. I don't really know what people were expecting with the changes. The limits of housing were still there and weren't going to go away.

We all know the housing system isn't working, and so do they, best we can do is to explain what our problems are, in great detail and civil tone, and pile on the truth until they fix it, but the truth isn't the truth just because you regurgitate discontent and get some angry thumbs up.
