The new PVP is amazing and It's really enjoyable! I have my own personal gripes about it but all in all I really like the direction we're headed with this change!

But there's one thing that needs to change. That being the fact that if you have someone leave before the match even starts you still lose a star! Which really isn't fair considering even a 4v5 is pretty much a loss already. I didn't think people would end up leaving, but it just happened to me during a rank match where 2 people left, making it a 3v5 and literally impossible to win.

It really should be if someone ends up leaving at all during or before a match, you shouldn't lose a star. (I know you can't de-rank, like going from gold back down to silver, but still.)

It's a tough issue to solve, people will just leave as soon as they have a slight hint of bad party to keep their stars.

Wait you want to say that if someone leaves then that person doesn't lose star? No wonder it's exploited.

No, you can't make it so that if someone leaves the other people don't lose a star; And if you don't lose a star if you leave then that's something that needs to be addressed.

If someone leaves they should lose a star and not get any rewards (this would mean waiting out the rest of the match for the rewards would be more worth it). I'm shocked that isn't how it is right now (I'm assuming that's not how it is judging by what other people are saying here.

If someone leaves your group, that sucks, but it happens. Changing the above (if it's not that way already) should prevent a lot of that though.

People already spam "Good Match" and give up when they see the comps.

If people are responding to this with 'They can't do this because of [X] reason' then the system itself needs an overhaul.

Gaining and maintaining stars is annoying enough but starting a game with a player less and having your streak broken and going down is just the worst. Again, my response is always 'Maybe they should look at how other games have solved/minimised this issues' rather than trying to fix it within the system's current parameters.

In LoL if someone leave instantly you can vote for remake. Its basically considered a draw for everyone involved but the person who left gets it treated as a loss. You absolutely can do it without being exploited, if noone gains anything but the leaver loses then theres no exploit to be had.

Once someone leaves you can leave yourself and not get a penalty so I dont see the probelm. Like ok yeah it's bad, unfair we dont get another player to join in but honestly if the match is already loosing with 5 deaths and crystal just in 2nd checkpoint, it's all ready a lost match. I can see why people would leave. On the other hand, if the match just started and somone leaves, the game should allow a player to queue in during match in that 30sec starting window

I mean the best and most fair way, would be if someone leaves before the gate even opens then you shouldn't lose a star or your streak, and the opposite team shouldn't get a star or make them get a streak, that is the most fair way I can think of. Also people who win trade/int/leave mid match is going to happen, happens in many many competitive games. But the system should heavily penalize you if you leave before the gates open or during the middle of a match.
