You replied to me on a public forum, I am allowed to do the same in turn if you have a problem with how I say it too bad go cry to your mum that you didn't like a forum post.
Which post are you referring to, exactly? Do you have a link?No they can't, because then the people unhappy come into that thread and have the "How dare you say something positive" attitude or accuse them of ignoring or being blind to issues. Can we just agree that people are going to have differing opinions and we don't get to decide when those opinions get stated? Everyone should feel free to speak up on these forums, but I rarely see anything positive because the negative people jump down their throats when they do.
"Go cry to mum". Yeah my mother doesn't even remember me due to dementia so sorry thats not an option for me. If you want to hurt my feelings you need to try harder than that.
We don't need toxic crap like this in the community
Most of it is HW job gear that's been updated with the modern texture styles for cloth and metals, it's very much improved. Yeah DNC, GNB, SGE and RPR get left out but they didn't have level 60 job gear so that's no surprise. I'm hoping it's a sign of things to come with older gear getting either updated itself or released with a new version that has the new material styles and texture quality. I'm sure there are people out there who would rather they didn't just replace the old sets.
The housing system could be better. And auto-demolition has upsides and downside. Is that something that needs debating? Again, the game has problems. Which one doesn't? I do have a few gripes with the game myself. But the whole doom and gloom is really a bit much. Not so long ago the servers were close to melting because of all the new people. lol I personally am not the biggest fan the direction the game is heading toward. Skills being taken away etc etc. But even I can't be that... whatever this threat is. lolUnless you're into housing. Then the sky has fallen so many times the only thing left is a barren wasteland. The only survivors left have had their mental states deteriorate so much, they are still punching placards and afraid of the number 0 to this day.

Me caring about your mum wouldn't matter, and you know it doesn't. Stop trying to use your mum's illness as ammo.
The only one being toxic here is you. You came here to argue with people who are very unhappy after today. This, for many people, is the culmination of many years of disappointment and dissatisfaction. Why should anyone give you the respect you think you deserve when you don't show it to them? For many people, this is a breaking point. The prudent thing would have been to allow them to say their piece and then discuss how good the patch was a few days after rather than at 2-4 in the morning, depending on the region, to try and subvert their feelings.
Before you go calling other people toxic, you should know better. How about you show some tact by allowing others who paid their hard-earned cash to have some peace. We get you to disagree, and we know many more do, but the difference is they aren't here trying to start knowingly or unknowingly something to derail the forum. If you have something to say, do it a few days later, not right after it happens.
You mean like this one where the poster was intimidated into changing their original post? It's just the latest. It's not always at a time when there's an issue. People go into positive threads all the time with negativity. And it's not even a problem that people disagree. They can come into the thread and say "X isn't my cup of tea or whatever" and that's fine. That's free and open exchange of ideas. But that doesn't happen. The thread 9 times out of 10 goes into a handful of people insulting the poster. We don't all have to agree all the time. That would get boring. But we need to respect that we all have a variety of opinions.

No worries, it's not a threat at all, sorry if it came off that way. While you are right in saying that every game has problems, I think me and many people think that housing in this game is simply an abject failure. A casual look at our competitors shows our system is not only inferior, but just straight up doesn't work. A friend of mine recently started lost ark, and he got his house in one week!!! Imagine a sprout doing that in ffxiv. I would be more willing to tolerate this system with its flaws, but after punching placards for one and a half years, losing the lottery to 0, a person who literally does not exist, I think it is quite clear that whatever positives housing has don't outweigh the disappointment the players have felt since, well, since housing was introduced. You are from spriggan as well, I'm sure you know of the fc that owns an entire ward in the goblet. The system, and the housing team, just simply does not work. They need to put in more time and effort to make the system not terrible, and they are simply too incompetent to do so. If they're not willing to fix their own problems and wipe their own arse, let it burn and recruit people with actual good ideas to redo it from scratch, in my opinion. I think I can speak on behalf of many, if not all players, that we do not want to deal with this shitty system for the next decade. The housing system could be better. And auto-demolition has upsides and downside. Is that something that needs debating? Again, the game has problems. Which one doesn't? I do have a few gripes with the game myself. Ffxiv survived 1.0 reboot, we can handle housing reboot. #rebootffxivhousing

I read that exchange. The discussion was fairly civil until around this point:You mean like this one where the poster was intimidated into changing their original post? It's just the latest. Yet even after that remained fairly civil. At no point was the OP "intimidated" - they chose of their own volition to change their post after some back and forth, but please don't pretend anyone forced them or "intimidated" them.
Especially when it devolved into this:

I have a lot of friends who have been consistently positive and upbeat about this game in their years playing it.
As of 6.1, I'm seeing a lot of unprecedented negativity from places that I wouldn't usually expect it. That is not a good sign.
One major gripe about the patch I don't see around too much but is talked about a lot among my friends is about how the new EX trial is horrible. This fight isn't just the last boss of Endwalker; It's mean to be the final boss of a core story arc that has spanned more than 10 years. Why did it get such a significantly lazier treatment than Shinryu, Hades and Thordan? The EX version is genuinely less interesting than the normal mode. How on earth did that even happen? I knew so many people hyped for the fight to release, and I literally don't know a single person that likes what we got.
