[Feedback] Add Epic Easy Anti-Cheat to FFXIV before is too late

Anti cheat is a no no, for the pvpers who are high up and obvious it is an ez ban. It is whether the GM's care to take the time to do it. Anti cheat would goof the game for a lot of players for many reasons.

Even games with an anti-cheat still have this problem. It's more likely to fire detections on the lewd modders and the like before rampant RMT bots but SE should be giving themselves every fighting chance a least.

Its still not too late to add Epic Easy Anti-Cheat to FFXIV, most recent games already use it like Lost Ark and Elden Ring and it gets the job done.

A popular game like FFXIV will always have bots and cheaters, all games always do. Anti-cheats can be easily bypassed and doesn't solve the issue within the game.

There are at least 2 pvp addons that tracks cds and player profiles, if you are on Twitch, you can see clips of high elo Crystal players encountering a certain top 10 player using speed hacks now too. It shouldn't be hard to find.

Also there is a certain addon website that makes the better version of 1-2-3 combo addon do a pvp version that will ping you if samurai uses their ability and highlights players that ninjas can 100% execute, and a few other addons in development that shows the aoe radius of certain players.

Its still not too late to add Epic Easy Anti-Cheat to FFXIV, most recent games already use it like Lost Ark and Elden Ring and it gets the job done.

This is not meant to be overly aggressive, but please familiarize yourself with the Dev team and the dev's plans.

For YEARS, their stance has been "We could do X, but we choose not to do X". One of those is using anti-cheat or other installed software that "Scans" the player's system. This is one of those issues they have a hard position on.

Moreover, the PvP in this game isn't even really meant to be anything more than "something to do". It's not/never meant to be an overly competitive game. We're talking "let's play Hide and Seek at the park" level competition.

You can, I play Elden ring with mods online :P
Exactly with a mod that allows me to play with ps5 controller layout because I use a ps5 controller. You only need to add something in the code of an archive (I will not give all the details, because I do not want more real cheaters destroying people savefiles)
XD there is not any anti-cheater that works wonders against cheaters, trust me. As I said, only will harm people that mostly play fair

easy anti cheat is worthless, and even the RCE exploit remains inside Elden Ring, not a great example.

That’s a poorly implemented anti-cheat. Valorant has the best anti-cheat and it’ll disconnect you the moment you even attempt to mess around with it, it’s super sensitive as it should be for an online game.
