Win trading in CC casual would be pointless. Between the low gap between winning and losing in rewards and the short matches... it wouldn't be a real problem in this mode. The mode's design itself fixes it. So they don't need to restrict the ability to play with friends.I like it! People liked the feast. I hated it. Different strokes for different folks.
"It's fast"
Yes. It was designed to be fast. Working as intended.
"We can't play with friends"
Blame the win traders/cheaters/aggressive/toxic/etc. They didn't remove the ability to play with friends just cause. They are addressing a main issue the feast had that drove so many away from that content.
"It's going to be dead content"
Idk. I am absolutely hooked and never before have I had queues popping off so fast. Time will tell when the dust settles.
"Classes are unbalance. No role Restrictions"
Role restrictions - Don't need them. Jobs need some balancing for sure - but you don't need a tank and healer. Please read your tool tips. Thank you.

For Casual? Not at all.
I can see it being an issue if all you need to do is ride the crystal from 1 end to the other, this would be the fastest way to get Tomes, EXP, and PVP stuffs all with bypassing the the DF if you managed to get 10 people to coordinate it. To open it up to free for all play with your friends, you need to also consider those who are always looking to abuse the system too.
I agree that playing with your friends is ideal, but given the type of PVP they wanted to deliver and design (and it IS fun for what it is), something would have to change in CC. I don't know what.
Just allow pre-made teams of 5 to play other pre-made teams of 5. It's that simple. It takes nothing away from the "fun" people are having now and you're just offering a mode on the side to que as a group for those who want to.
Enough of this "premade groups are too powerful against non-premade" - no kidding, that's why you separate it. As far as "it failed in the past" - this same PVP game mode? This same PVP gameplay?
Not taking away from the fun people are having treating this like some ranked carnival ride, giggling and slapping their heads on the keyboard to activate whatever skill happens to be off CD because flashing lights make them happy and having no regard to what "Fall back and regroup!" means. Just want to see a mode that accommodates people who actually want to be more competitive and learn how to get better and their jobs.

The new mode is fun for what it is, you can just mindlessly grind your rewards and then do whatever.
Ranked is absolutely horrendous though, win 1 match, lose 10 matches. Job classes are unbalanced, match making is basically non-existent (I was Silver 3 with a Bronze 1 and 3 no-ranks against a whole group of gold ranks - like, what the hell?), and it's no fun at all to be stuck in the same rank tier because people can't read their own skills or don't give a damn about the match. PvP will always be the worst mode with the coolest rewards, sadly.
I love it. My only real complaint is the matches are too fast and its too WAY too easy to snowball one way or another. The matches need to be twice as long and spawn timers need to be way faster.

Did I miss something? New skillset aside. The only difference to feast is one more player and no class conditions. So why all the fuss?
Already next season ppl will complain about CC as much as they did about feast.
Feast was an arena. This is a TF2 style cart pushing game mode. They are not even in the same boat.

This would be very easy for them to track though. They could use scripts to detect it and punish offenders. I guarantee you they track match data, and it would be very difficult to make this not super obvious. For Casual? Not at all.

In its core it's still an arena tho, just another layout with a "task" to do.

The matches are fun , or maybe the new skills are fun to learn and apply to your victims, but I still wanna crack skulls with my friends. Not front lines either that mode sucks!
