    It's now confirmed to be hotfixed in tomorrow's (today's?) maintenance. They're nerfing Aero II potency to be in line with its extended duration. Personally, I would've rather they buff Dia, just because dot damage feels so marginal it's almost not worth casting.

    called it. and really yes it was a stupid mistake, but mistakes happen even if its something that should have been obvious so hey, at least they are fixing it fast.

    Its funny the notice phrases it like it was a bug or something. You guys didn't need to adjust the potency of Aero I in order to balance out the duration change, don't get me started on Combust, stop pretending.

    Hahahaha, yep - cause we know they care SO much about ARR balance, right?
    That's why a good portion of DPS do 1.5x or more what people maxed at when Final Coil was relevant.

    But healer DPS for ARR, whew, it was a bug to buff it! But only here. Mmhm!

    Salvage-PR speak if I've ever heard it. Not that I particularly care too much, but still funny to see that notice.

    thing is that lore didn't add up since earth shouldn't have been affected if that was the case being a light aspected element and then we had black mage over there, yoshidas favourite get to keep his ice magic despite it being the element most closely aligned with light

    But they didn't fix it, unless it's a tooltip error.

    Per:

    * A client update will be necessary to address the issues with bard's "the Wanderer's Minuet" ability and white mage's "Aero II" spell, which is scheduled to be addressed in Patch 6.11.
    We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
    However, a later update

    White mage's "Aero II" has not been set to the appropriate potency.
    * The duration has been changed to 30 seconds to make it easier to manage the damage over time effect; however, the potency hasn't been adjusted appropriately to coincide with this change.

    *Edited on Apr. 14, 2022 3:45 a.m. (PDT)
    This issue was addressed in the emergency maintenance that took place from Apr. 13, 2022 11:00 p.m. to Apr. 14, 2022 1:40 a.m. (PDT)
    Aero II and Dia both still show 60 potency at 30 seconds.

    So which is it? Did they "fix" it or not?

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    Just checked job guide and tool tips, doesn't look like it. Are we back to SB for fixing WHM errors, but at least Misery did get the 1240 potency.

    Just logged in to test. Yup, it's not a tooltip or patch note error, nothing was changed. My guess is it's not going to be a priority since technically Dia is the "correct" version and nobody would care Aero II is "overpowered" [*chuckles*] in leveling content.

    I still think it'd be better if they buff Dia instead though...
