    I miss Miasma 2 because it fit thematically with the more healing play style the developers want. Dots in general do. Like I said in another thread, all the devs needed to do to make it compatible was make the initial hit low enough and the dot high enough so it wasn't spammed. That's it.

    Problem with Sleeve Draw is every time you Draw, and have to play a card is a few less seconds you get to heal or dps. And every second counts in Dungeon Mass Pulls (tank emergencies) or against bosses.

    Yes this is a blatant necro but this is pretty relevant to this topic:

    Update for 2022 (added to OP):

    SE for a long time has said they don't want to change healers in the middle of an expansion for this reason or that reason, yet have zero issues doing massive changes for both DPS and Tanks. Yet here we are in the middle of an expansion with some significant changes RIGHT before an Ultimate Drops.

    In Live Letter 70 Yoshi-P said (Paraphrasing)

    "Yes we understand we're doing these changes to job right before Ultimate is released but we're confident in players abilities to adjust."

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    Reworks for DPS that lower the level of skill acquisition.

    MNK getting Chakra gauge at 15 with reworked Steel Peak and Howling Fist to fill in as TFC and Enlightenment.
    RDM getting Engagement at 40 instead of 74
    SMN and BLM get complete reworks so their leveling experience is progressively more fluid.

    Meanwhile, WHM STILL doesn't get their Gauge until 52 and that's only Solace with the other 2 skills locked all the way at level 74 and 76, no MP sustain tools until the middle of HW level content despite historically struggling with MP long before then and the entire leveling experience is about unlearning bad habits picked up during the leveling process, like saving oGCDs for emergencies rather than using them as your primary healing skills.

    WHM is the poster child of neglect.

    Yeah I feel this. The Healer skill curve is so flat it might as well not exist. There’s no carrot at the end of the stick. No reason to get better. The time investment to get good at the role isn’t appropriately respected. It’s made so easy to get to a mid level and they treat that bare minimum bar as the absolute top. And relying on mistakes from other players to make the experience interesting doesn’t work due to how they’ve designed the content at all levels. Either they don’t matter or they wipe the group consistently.

    If we have to rely on other players being bad and/or blind to have fun, what the hell are we supposed to do when they’re done prog?

    To me the only double standard is that they said reaper is not getting nerfed, because they dont want to nerf any jobs, but instead they buff everything else (this was the previous patch notes) - now suddenly scholar is much more appealing than sage so they nerf the abiltiy that people find more useful in fights... oh, but WHM can get buffs? So that people can bring it to P3S finally? But scholar needs a nerf... What the actual fuck kind of logic is this?

    Just give me one reason why Expedience needed to be nerfed?

    This freaking spell was the only "fun" of this class... sad moments.

    Who cares if you're having fun or not? You're an NPC whose sole purpose is keeping everyone's health bars at 100% so the DPS, the player character, can have fun. Your fun should come from casting Cure. That's what healers enjoy, right?

    SCH had their Aetherflow (MP regen) and Energy Drain moved from lvl 30 to lvl 45.

    Im glad all the SMN reworks gave them reason to absolutely butcher SCH once they made Arcanist only mesh with SMN's playstyle.

    at this point acn is a class with no job which is a shame since it would fit nicely as a build into sch. but of course yoshida hates pet classes and healers so we cant have that
