What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Endwalker?

What on earth is G'raha Tia and Alphinaud supposed to do to keep me entertained in Final Fantasy Australia or the New World?

Again, pretty sure nobody cares what you personally find entertaining or not.

Moralize even more about how oppressed some kangaroo tribe is by the local Meracydians who are hunting them for meat in what is supposed to be an empty wasteland?

I dunno. Sounds more entertaining than watching King Edgelord sulk because someone told him no, and now he has to walk out of his rat-filled castle and past the dung-filled peasant streets so he can build his fantasy version of Atlas Shrugged somewhere else.

What? If we're reducing entire continents into one specific culture and landscape, this seems like a pretty fair assessement.

I probably the least enthusiastic about the New World. We know the Whalaqee are from there, that it's rich in ceruleum, and that is has golden cities. All of those make it a prime target for others to conquer for resources and knowledge/heresy. I'm loathe to be subjected to the inevitable backlash of social media should they go that route or, conversely, should they use it as a basis for more preaching.

Meracydia I'm concerned is just going to be an inferior HW 2.0.

I suppose of the locations we've been teased I'd have to say Corvos sounds the most promising. Isn't it supposed to be the original homeland of the Garleans? I'd like to see that. Due to G'raha being from there maybe we'd learn more about the Eye of Allag along the way, which could be interesting.

I guess it doesn't matter much. I've never been a fan of Garlemald and expected to not like that section in EW, but it turned out to be one of the better parts of it. As long as it's well written and not preachy it should be fine, but I'm still going to be hesitant to get attached to any sympathetic antagonists. :P

The locations you've just described remind me of Plague Tale: Innocence, a very beloved game that I would highly recommend to most. I would gladly accept medieval, plague-ridden France as a future expansion location than the New World or Meracydia.

As someone who liked the Postmoogle quests from ARR, I'm honestly glad to be getting something similar.

It would be nice to learn what some folks have been doing ever since we sorted things out with them previously, and will probably help address a lot of NPCs still being trapped in a pre-EW time bubble in spite of their role with helping us.

So, expectations for the LL tomorrow?

I'm most curious about who we are fighting in the next dungeon, and how they plan to tie The Twelve in the new alliance raid with the current story. For the dungeon my current money is either on leftover void creatures or maybe a still loyal, defected group of Garleans that we have to clear out. I don't currently see anything else conflict wise, unless it's something completely random like a creature outbreak in Labyrinthos. Though they did say it was to remain a secret, although they do that all the time.

With the Alliance raid, I have seen speculation on the relation between the twelve and the convocation, or the defect group that joined Venat. Could be perhaps remnant of the original convocation that lead to the convocation that existed pre-sundering. Hopefully if anyone story wise is watching this now 300! page post, they will take the time in there and future Pandemonium raid tiers to clear up or retcon some explaining.(Personally I am most excited for the PVP, but that's just me)

If it wasn't for them we woulda failed, even ignoring the give me your energy dynamis bit there was a shitload of people bringing materials for the finishing up of the ragnarok it was a whole thing
