He literally is a liar though, he’s lied on numerous occasions, people literally have signatures calling out his lies lol. He literally recently said he didn’t want to make any drastic changes to healers because ultimate is coming out shortly, yet is going to be putting out what he considers some drastic changes for the dps jobs… These are the forums, they’re here for criticism. Imagine unironically using the go play something else excuse because you can’t handle someone calling out your beloved devs.

Saying what you plan to do or what you'd like to do is not lying. People like you have no understanding of game development and its why 99% of game studios just say nothing. Things like road maps and open letters and general open conversations with player bases are just a nightmare for most studios because things can shift dramatically within days.

right like the criticism in 5.0 that ast suffer from mp issues and sleeve draw is causing high apm that its hurt players so maybe change sleeve to give a different seal and give draw the assize treatment, true its not actual criticism that saved ast in 5.3 when they bothered to listen. or now when we said before EW, whm will suffer from thin air nerf if no additional mp adjustments will be made like lower mp costs/extra charge for assize or if misery wont have potency adjusted to glare it will be a dps lose and punishing whm for ever thinking to use lilies and look where whm is today, the "best" healer in the game and "prog" friendly where he dies his gauge get reset while the other healers get to keep theirs so beginner "friendly".

yes we dont give actual criticism with options for solutions, yep we are the big meanie healers that blame the devs for not reading feedback after all i mean its not like the lead producer said in a LL " we listen to healer feedback and we ignored them". yep you are so right

oh and about devs lying, remind me where is the additional egi-glamour smn was promised? where is the "healers will get to heal more" saying? or the ever "dont worry, just wait till x patch for engagement"

Let's stop making excuses for multi-billion companies here. Game studios are notorious for creating road maps after releasing broken products they rushed on the door. Anthem, Cyberpunk, Halo Infinite and Marvel Avengers are all recent examples of such practices. Which is why gamers as a whole have become incredibly jaded towards road maps. While this doesn't apply to FFXIV specifically, Square Enix is quite notorious for being shady themselves.

What does apply to FFXIV is the fact we've repeatedly been told contrary things or outright lies in some form or another. The whole "We didn't receive much feedback for changes to Blood Weapon" comes to mind. Meanwhile, someone complied thirteen posts with upwards of 50+ likes (something the devs have said they use for reference) in just the last several months from the JP forum alone. Living Dead has been complained about since Heavensward. How about them claiming Scholar only wants to focus on damage while White Mage does all the healing when we have metric data which says the precise opposite is true?

At this point, if they haven't noticed these complaints. They just weren't looking to begin with.
