Mmhh you know that this is still possible? The Housing "TOS" only prevents from buying more than one plot as FC if you are holding already one. But its not forbidden to get more plots via FC Master "Trade". Funny thing is the "only one FC plot buy rule per account" isnt even available all the time. You could buy on Spriggan and Twintania litterally multiple FC-Plots even if the FAQ said it shouldnt be possible. It seems that SE is running a population breakeven in the background when this additional rule will be applied or not technically.

Mmmmh did you know that they are bringing in new rules for FC master handover as of 6.1 to require a new member to be in the FC for an as yet unspecified period of time before they can handover the FC?

And did you understand that the only reason there has been a grey market for FC housing is because all the houses on populated worlds were sold out and the only path to house ownership was to purchase an FC with housing? Not really going to be the issue on Materia which is 85% sprouts at the moment and will have five empty wards on each world open up in one hit.In the case of Spriggan and Twintania they shared a data centre with populated worlds- Materia has only new worlds, and limited markets as a result. Nobody is looking at the data centre will gil symbols in their eyes thinking about how much money the will make from their FC consortuim. Because there is no money to be made in that way on an isolated data centre of new worlds.

Stop acting as if all the problems on existing fully populated worlds or worlds in data centres with populated worlds have any relevance on a data centre with 100% new worlds with low population of mostly sprouts.

I guarantee all the people (most of whom don't even seem to be on OCE data centre btw) who are pro lottery will be changing their minds when they can lott on ONE house and have to wait for the next lottery period when they miss out because someone doubled lotted on the same plot while there are empty plots all over- that you can't lott on because YOU CANNOT WITHDRAW AN ENTRY AFTER YOU MAKE IT.

Think about that, for a second. You are the only entry, then six people who haven't read the rules dump their lotts on top of you- but you can't move your entry to one of the six empty plots on other wards. And you have to wait out the lottery draw, knowing that if it were FCFS you could have just hopped wards until you got the plot you were after. Which, considering how low the population is, would have been a given.

FCFS wards would be no issue at all on Materia, I know this because I have got houses via FCFS on much higher population servers than any of Materias in the past.

I'm fine with 50/50 FCFS and lottery, then all the lottery people can have fun for weeks with their RNG choice while the rest of us just get on with housing life after a fifteen minute flurry of activity.

I'd just like to add my voice to the rest of the supporters here that FCFS for at least some (half?) of the wards seems like a better idea than all-lottery. Please consider it.

I am also adding my support for 50/50 FCFS and Lottery for all of the wards. I moved to Materia and left my house on Elemental, so I'd be pretty upset if I missed out because of a pure lottery system.

+1 (Non-Ishgard) FCFS on Materia DC.

SE please give us the option to purchase houses on a FCFS basis, like on other populated worlds upon initial release of their residential wards. We want to have the ability to choose our own plots and not to have that option taken away from us. This option was granted to other players, and we wanted to be treated in the same manner.

+1 showing support as a player that moved permanently to Materia for some FCFS housing in existing wards and not 100% lottery. Even 25% of existing housing as FCFS would be nice for those of us that know exactly what we want and have the resources to move the furniture market/spend gil/invest in gardening to make rare items more readily available (all of which sorely needed on this DC right now). An additional week of uncertainty in waiting for lottery, and then losing out houses to people that don't have the ability to participate in all these activities as actively is going to hurt the economy of Materia moreso.

Another vote for SOME FCFS wards, just so we have a fair chance at running in to get something. I hate that we had to give up our housing to transfer, wait so long without housing and now we're slapped in the face with a MAYBE lottery win...

I am wondering if the issue with all wards being lottery on OCE is stemming from opening the old wards at the same time as Ishgard and therefore the change in the housing system?

If the problem lies in the coding and separating out one data centre from the rest in terms of implementation of the 6.1 patch, then surely it would make more sense to simply release the old wards a week or two ahead of 6.1 under the current system?

Perhaps we, the OCE data centre players affected, can get together and brainstorm a way in which to make this suggestion to the devs while we still have time?

It's too late, though there will be plenty of houses though, probably more houses than players actually.

Anyone who wants a house on Materia and is not picky will definitely get one, unless you are trying for one of those unicorn plots which well, I wish you good luck.
