I hate Urianger I just wish he would die I hate the way he is written and speaks. Seriously, this guy can go and I would be happy.I don't think they're going to kill everyone off all at once, but I wouldn't be surprised if we lose another couple of Scions before 7.0 is done.
Part of me thinks Y'shtola or Thancred are next on the chopping block - but Y'shtola has the benefits of 1. Incomplete narrative arc (she still hasn't learned Warp yet) 2. being way too popular.
So yeah, my vote goes to Thancred for the dead pool.
The love tension between the MC and Alisaie is also there.
Sir, Alisaie is a child. If there IS any romantic tension it doesn't go any further than a one-sided schoolgirl crush/hero worship.
Anything else is purely headcanon territory.
So in ARR that is true, but with the expansions spanning years in the game story both the twins would be adults.
Except that's wrong bucko. Outside of fluff pieces like the Scions' souls being stuck on The First for varying amounts of time while their bodies remained on the Source, the game never states how much time has passed between each expansion. As far as the time bubble in FFXIV is concerned, it has still been five years since the 7th Umbral Calamity.
For me, it was the (rather stretched out) Thancred solo in ShB. I remember thinking "wow, Thancred gave everything to beat back Ran'jit in a last stand, he's laying there in the desert on his back looking beat-up with blood out of his mouth and his gunblade stuck in the ground as the camera slowly zooms out. This will be an iconic gaming moment for s --I mean, okay? I have a hard time believing anything they say about death when they constantly do fake outs every expansion. Even at 5.3/5.3 Y'shtola had "died" what 2 times already? Idk I've lost count. Also, I'm going to be that person, the ending to Endwalker was complete garbage. It was basically Oprah Winfrey just going "You get a fake out death and you get a fake out death! EVERYBODY GETS FAKE OUT DEAAAAAAAAATHHHHHSSSSS!!!!!!11!!!"
oh..."
Soul deflated. Guess it's on me for being 70 IQ though...
Tbf, it doesnt help that the devs referred to them as husbando and waifu....then again these are the same devs that had an underage girl stripping as a mechanic so not surprised lol.Except that's wrong bucko. Also the 2 months lost to sea travel between Limsa and Doma at the start of Stormblood.
And a presumably equal amount of time lost between Limsa and Sharlaya at the start of Endwalker.
I've always gone under the assumption that at least 1 week takes place between any given patch, even if the events of a patch take no more than a day or two.
Given how many things happen prior to 2.0 and the leveling process to 50 (no matter how superhuman your character is) it's got to be at least a couple of months.
2 months in ARR
2.1-2.55 - 1 month (4 patches, 4 weeks)
3.0 picks up almost immediately after 2.55, maybe a day or two. Duration.... maybe a week? two weeks? a lot of stuff happens fast, but you ARE traveling a long distance
3.1-3.55 - a month
4.0 - Two months for travel to Doma near the start, plus another couple of weeks for all the events to take place. We'll be generous and go about 4 months here.
4.1-4.55 - Another month.
5.0 - No more than a few days after the end of 4.55. Events here happen very swiftly again, maybe a month at most.
5.1- 5.55 - Another month
6.0 - Add another month for boat travel to Sharlaya, but once things kick in events happen rapidly. I think the longest you have to deal with in the patch is travel to Garlemald, another couple of weeks since it's on foot. Let's go with two months total, since time spent in Elpis didn't count.
Adding it all up we get: 13-14 months.
Really, by now the Calamity should be over six years ago.

Did you actually finish Type 0? Rem coming back to life happens in literally every ending. And the true ending revives everyone.
And using Tellah's death in 4 is funny because 4 is the game with the most fake out deaths in the series, bar none. Literally every party member besides Cecil and Rosa gets a fake death which you abhor, but the old man who's also irrelevant to the wider plot dies. Such stakes.
That's not even getting into using Rekss of all characters as a serious example, Rekks has less dialogue and screen time then Ahewann. He's not even a character, just there to die and set up the plot for others.

Yes i finished type 0, enough to know that The kawaii high school ending isnt the true ending. The true ending is the one where they all die barring rem and machina, hence why the secret post credits scene has Ace being revived. Also i made the rem comment in regards to a party member leaving due to some form of consequence, hers was her sickness. Ive given numerous other examples. You can nitpick all you want but most of the other games have had far longer and deeper lasting consequences than 14 has for a long time.Did you actually finish Type 0? I have never liked Urianger, he'd be the first on the chopping block if I had any say in it. Unfortunately, after the Famitsu interview, it seems they love what they've done with his character and consider him a good partner for Thancred, so looks like he's sticking around indefinitely (like everyone else).
