ill you guys get off that troll = hating the game. That is not the only type of troll
troll are rude/crude posters who do nothing but personally attacking anyone

You guys really need to think past the white knite vs troll thread. It really did a number on ppl.

I can't play WoW even if I wanted to, my pc busted but the guy did say sorry for his attitude. Sorty but ppl who troll don;t say sorry for it. And he did.

I don't name call. I haven't said such and such is an ahole" I haven't said "your such a dbag" If i call ppl troll it cuz well they are trolling, they are being rude to ppl.

I'm personally doing what I feel is right. There is no reason for anyone here to go against forum rules. And harrasse ppl because of a post. Which is what happen. A guy in a nicely put way said he was dissapointed in the game, he felt it was overly complicated. He did not go out of his way to say the game suxks, he did not go out of his way to say anyone playing the game sucks.

And he was treated like dirt for it. And in cruel irony by people who have went out of their way to say such things. ( saying the game sucks as well as those playing it)

I'm just trying to figure out how a decent community like ffxi, turn into a crude mess ala Aion.

If it is truely against forum rules why not let the moderators handle it instead of trying to be the internet police?

In trueth getting a mod aka mommy should be last resort. I'm not afriend of in my upmost best to kindly ask them to stop.

Sorry but I was raised old fashion. I don't just sit and wait for a mod. That is just as bad as being a bully. Think of it like a naighborhood watch. Which is what we need. ppl willing to stop harassment before it increased and needing a mod to step in. It also saves time reporting ppl 20 times a day. (not a real number just an example).

But in reality how is asking a question really policing the forums? And who should I sit back and watch someone get needlessly harrassed?

I was epically harrassed in Aion (party why I'm quick to bite) For just being a newbie and asking questions. I got told go back to WoW just for saying hi im new, how is the game? I got told also that ima get raped like no tomarrow unless I reroll someplace else.

You made a thread and are walking around demanding people trest others better, that far more then a question. Also it is the mods JOB to handle the trouble makers and by creating threads like this you are not helping them, just creating more work for them. I used to mod in many games and one in particular was a server forum in which NO other mod could handle the people there except myself. Those who thought they were "helping" just added extra time on my daily shift of cleaning out the trash and setting people straight.

All I'm saying is by acting the way you are you are only causing more problems and in no way are you solving anything.

Edit: One more thing, please stop bringing up things that happened in a unrelated game because this is FFXIV not Aion or WoW. Different game, different community, different people. FFXIV will NEVER be like either of those games so thats not a valid arguement.

So if I were to say that you act like a deranged attention-starved child who has no grip on reality, no semblance of logic, and is probably in need of some serious counseling, you wouldn't report that? Because it wouldn't be the same as actually calling you those things?

Kilta, just because the post where you said "I could say stupid ignorent trolling idiot, retarded or anyone of those derogitory terms." seems to have been deleted (yes, it's in my IM history where I copied it to a friend, it was just that good) doesn't mean you didn't say it.

But again, I guess you didn't actually say that, you were simply defining what your cute little phrase "on silly pills" was intended to mean.
