Its because Kita was traumatized by a handful of people in a completely unrelated game and projects that onto the people on this forums. I just want all this BS to end cause I'm starting to get annoyed...

Can you honestly say that the ffxiv community will not turn trashy? Aion is not WoW but its community is just as trashy as WoW. And this community is slowly going down that road. A trashy community can happen no matter the mmo. Not saying that should be the norm.
So me bring up Aion as an example of what a community shouldn't be like is infact a valid example.

I infact had a stalker chick repeatedly tell me off for looking for a legion under level 25. That it was a "rule". Saying that my asking for a legion was a waste of space, I shouldn't have done it. And that I am a troll for doing so. This was again on the newbie section forum.
It can happen here easily. Don;t say it can't cuz Aion and ffxiv are different games.

I can say 110% that FFXIV will NEVER become like those games, the community is not slowly going anywhere, at the moment everyone is frustrated that the game isn't upto standards, your "friend" came in spitting sillyness which just poured more gas on the fire. Its human nature and your indless ranting and complaining isn't going to change the human race.

Edit: One more thing, please stop bringing up things that happened in a unrelated game because this is FFXIV not Aion or WoW. Different game, different community, different people. FFXIV will NEVER be like either of those games so thats not a valid arguement.

Umm no. This is because some dude got harassed by 1/2 of these ppl getting on my case because they assumed he was a troll. Making any excuse they could to justify their actions.

Yes and the reason YOU are getting defensive about it is because you were traumatized on a unrelated game and somehow feel connected to this guy. Its also human nature, when someone has a bad experience and they see someone else going through a similar experience they feel obligated to step in. In this case his starting post warranted the responses, his apology isn't going to change much because he came off judgemental and aggressive and was met with the people who got super defensive about their game.

The only thing that traumatized me in my life was 3 happeninfs when I was 3 years old. And to be pretty honest. I see no difference between Aion forums and this forum. Pretty much same crap different game. And its not really the game I'm talking about its the players playing the game. Which is relevent as an example. I simple do not want ffxiv to turn inti the community present on Aion. It can and will turn into that if left unchecked.

No, I'm sorry but it won't even with you picketting the forums it still won't become like those games.

The same stuff you see here has been on all the other FFXI forums for 7+ years, just never had an official forums where its more noticed. The forums does not reflect the in-game community so your example of 4-5 people on a unrelated game trolling you on forums and in game does not apply here cause the chances of all (if even any) of them being on same server as you when you do start playing is slim.

Even still, most FF players drop all forum beef when they click "Play" unless you piss them off alot then they'll avoid you, the less mature would hunt you down but those people are few and probly won't even be around when you start.

People attack anything that don't agree with the popular vote. Or goes against conformity. Pretty mucg trolling is more tolerated similar to bullying IRL. The reason for this is it was an unwriten agreement that it happens. Or it built character. It went unchecked and several happenings over the years happened. Like the several school shootings and teen suicides.

What I'm doing isn't the way of the conformist. I'm standing up for what I believe in. No one likes it so they are going out of their way to make me look bad. All i did was stand up for a guy and did my best to help him out. And made a post questioning why the community needs to be like that to new ppl.

Also beinging up examples of what I'm talkng about is infact realited to the post. Aion is just being used as an example. Yes the game isn't ffxiv, but our community is identical to theirs. And it can easily leak inti ffxiv. Thays pretty much what happened with Aion.
And again that is not something I want/ enjoy seeing.

I get what your saying atm the forums do not reflect ingame. It may not stay that way for long. Aions comminuty ingame is just as bad if not worst then their forums. I loged on the game first before logging in the forums dueto the fact no one under level 10 can type in tells. (rmt mesure)
I get on the forums to ask questions and maybe look for a legion that is willing to help me out. I get treated like crap. I was like meh at first. I level up get to the main city for my "race" and I do a shout asking for help. Pretty much I got the same replies from the same ppl. And even more ppl. Saying the same crap/ harrasing statments all over again. The game only had 5 servers. I tried all 5 out on both races and No one was willing to help me out. I played Alone for 6mnths then quit feeling this game wasn't even worth the crap I had to put up with.

So really ingame community can easily reflect that on the forums. I seen it on a few mmo.

Another question where in any of my posts have I actually demsnded anything.

All i'm sdaying is harassing ppl makes the community look bad. And it would be much better to help new ppl instead of harassing them.

I have not literally typed anything to anyone that they have to change their ways. I didn't say
"kd you are a fool and really have got to be the biggest moron to side with them I demand you to appologise to me."

that is reality demanding. I'm not trying to do that.
I'm not saying ppl HAVE TO be nice. Just that harassing is lame, it shouldn't be tolerated as it has been in the past.

I really think you should really read what I type instead of basing it on assumtions from ppl who are conformist. Again not demanding you should. Just it be nice if you could. Just as I'm trying to say it be nice if ppl could limit the harassing.

And even still no one has yet to replies to my simple question.

I would hazard a guess and it being a yes based on examples of what I'm seeing.
