Please add all Poetics gear to all Sundry Splendors Vendors

Poetics are for gearing up your alternate classes, not your main. This is working as intended.

I disagree. Content 80 and under is much easier now and it's very easy, as a new player, to reach 80 very quickly thanks to Road to 80 buffs being quite common nowadays. The MSQ cannot keep up.

Furthermore the ARR MSQ, for example, takes a very long time as you must do a lot of post MSQ stuff before being allowed into Heavensward. Same from Heavensward to Stormblood.

So no, it isn't working as intended for 80 and below content as the game has changed a lot since then and leveling has never been easier than it is now.

I agree with OP. Since we can already collect the end game poetic stones, why can't we spend them before finishing MSQ? The MSQ is fine for those who enjoy the story, but to force you to go through it all and taunt you with unspendable Tomestones is cruel.

Even without Road to 80, my last alt hit 70 before even clearing Bardam's Mettle. EXP is overly generous these days.

At the least, it'd be nice if the main tome vendors were active as soon as you reached a city, instead of waiting until you hit that expansion's cap. Wouldn't help for Idyllshire, but it would help for Rhalgr's Reach, Eulmore, and Radz-at-Han in 7.0.

I hit 86, just started the Tempest, am capped on Poetics, and still don't have access to the vendors in Eulmore. The Exarchic gear's serving fine, but having to spend the money just to have gear to match my level is frustrating. At this point I'll be 90 before starting Endwalker, will be getting Aphorism and Astronomy stones that I won't be able to use, and will have to spend yet more money I don't want to in order to get the gear appropriate for that level.

I didn't say I was unwilling to; I bought a full set of Exarchic gear when I hit 80. I said I was frustrated at having to buy the gear when I've had enough tomestones to purchase the Augmented lvl 80 stuff for a while. I don't need to buy any gear, I've got the capacity to gather and craft everything in the game that impacts progression. If that's a source of frustration for other players, then so be it.

I've been trying to play this alt as Solo Self-Found without significant assistance from my main. Unfortunately, things like Poetic vendors being locked behind MSQ progress has hindered that, so I've had to make myself or buy a couple sets of gear when I've significantly out-leveled the content I'm at.

Could I use the quest rewards to gear up? Absolutely. With as much scaling as the game does, wearing level 86 gear in a level 78 duty is overkill. However, it does guarantee that I'm at max stats in all duties I go into, which makes progression easier and tanking more effective. Also, getting a single set of over-leveled gear is a point of convenience in that it's a once-and-done thing. By equipping the Augmented Cryptlurker set in Shadowbringers, I don't have to worry about messing with the armory chest or forgetting to equip an upgrade. Instead, the chests go onto a retainer to be equipped to them at the appropriate time.

I mean, I buy gear for my servants since you can only have 1 copy of each poetics gear.

Or you could not use all the exp bonuses? Doesn't sound like its increasing your fun since you still wanna go through the msq anyways.

It is far more convenient to use those exp boosting items though. Any of the exp earrings means never having to buy/craft earrings again until the relevant expansion, the brand new ring is great for 15-20 levels, I am not going to screw the rest of my FC by not using the exp buff. It seems silly to argue "Just don't use them" when even without them it is easy to outlevel the story. I often without trying get my alts to 30 before I can even unlock their jobs thanks to challenge log and Fates I hit along the way that are in my path or already being progressed. There are so many sources of massive exp gain you can't easily avoid all of them.

Even without exp bonuses you will out level the MSQ a great deal. Especially when you do the mandatory dungeons/trials.

Heck, I was past 60 on multiple jobs when I STARTED Heavensward.

Letting players have access to the 80 and below poetics gear as they level doesn't cost them anything. It's not like the 80 and below content is current content anyway and if they want to do content the hard way there's min ilevel option.

There's no reason NOT to do this.
