I think you said it yourself. This poster has had various troll accounts for YEARS now, but he's rewarded consistently with attention. Unfortunately Skiros threads take up a 3rd of the front page of the forum half the time so out of boredom I end up commenting. But these threads to me are more like reading a tabloid than really caring about the content.

Also criticism is popular - people like arguing. So these threads do well.

As far as why the GMs don't do anything if that was the question, I don't know. Some trolls start developing a fan base from their constant presence so it may be more trouble than is worth/unpopular to moderate them all hours of the day, especially if they'll just make another account anyway. I mean look at this thread. It has several Skiros apologists already lol.

And my point was , thats how you troll (with intent) You choose a hot topic and throw trigger words , deep sarcasm , and very anti fanatic rhetoric in the mix and then you get people that cant help themselves and feel like they must "defend" the honour of the game because big mean said nasty xyz about my baby.

Its a weird thing to witness and its also why its a very cheap and effective tool a competitor can pay for to disrupt their competition's forum



Troll posts and posters fail miserably when they do nothing but fabricate the entire post with nonsense . It works when there's some truth to the topic . Take this post for example , it works because FF14 has a strict cycle , they have it because SQE dont give the team the staffing they should have especially now its their most profitable game ( and we all wish they wouldn't keep doing this) , and with that Korean mmo skiros is shilling/fanboying/girling for announcing that it is slowing up on content and judging by that screen grab the context skiros is suggesting is that every other mmo devs do better.


But whats the reality ? Is that MMO throwing out content no matter the quality and users are getting tired of it??? Or ,are they in a position now due to a massive influx of new players that they are so over worked and this is them saying sorry we need to slow it down this is getting hard on us ! ?



Trolls dont care either way as its easy to arm chair opinions with the safety of anonymity and ignorance especially if they seek endorphin rushes by riling people up they will do it regularly for a free fix . Oddly though its very clear that the user or users behind all these troll accounts are here to disrupt and in my experiences all major MMOs have strict rules about clear and obvious malcontent towards others yet the forum GM/CS seem to be non existent, but if someone gets a bit ticked off it all and says a big mean aggravated word from frustration they can easily get a 7 days ban. Its very odd that the forums get so clogged with obvious trolls and they go unchallenged by support staff.

We need more users like you in the community that see to have very well thought out points on combatting or not indulging with people like Skiros. I barely go on these forums but as of the last week its mainly been Skiros threads I never thought I would see a user who is so dependent on attention lol.

The amount of mental gymnastics that FF14 players need to do to deny that a competitor MMO is doing far better than FF14 at certain aspects (especially content and quantity) is never unamusing to me. The fact you're even asking this means you don't actually know what Lost Ark is like.

Because I'm actually serious and the people who are posting "omg titanmen troll" are the actual trolls. You can dislike my tone - which I don't give a damn about - but it's easy to deride the truth before your eyes that this game is in managed decline by just calling me a troll instead of confronting the bitter reality.

I also have negative respect for the vast majority of FF14 players. To be so entranced by FF14's PR spin. To so easily believe that they are "sparing no expenses" on FF14 and increasing investment while they're slowing down content release. I don't understand how people can hold such cognitively dissonant thoughts in their mind but I don't need to respect it. I have active disgust for this playerbase. At least in each and every thread of this nature, I see that many players are actually cognizant of the propaganda bubble that this game has and are not held under its sway. So at least there's that - but too bad most of the playerbase are just zealots. I must say though: I'm thoroughly impressed by the PR of this game. They release barely any information - breadcrumbs even - in live letters and get its playerbase hyped to the seven heavens. How do they do it?

I have barely posted on this forum, I just mainly browse to be fair but how on earth people haven't found the means to get rid of people like Skiros is beyond me. If they are using multiple accounts its extremely sad and concerning they have this much drive to garner a reaction. I am not going to deny they have made some valid points but sadly they get watered down with the amount of questionability of things or the attacking of the fanbase. Some people give good retorts but they seem to move the goalposts of their argument to still give them ground in this narrative. Im not also saying there aren't blind zealots for the game because there are, I love the game but there are clear issues I can see with it, I just don't think me posting on forums for weeks or months will achieve much haha.

Apparently there aren't too many things to do that Skiros doesn't have hours and hours of free time a day to post here instead of doing those "so many super fun things" that supposedly people can't keep up with.

I mean…as if thats any worse than the SE devs knowing the servers toasted in Endwalker early access but continued to sell products and allows free trial access on official release when in reality after seeing their servers couldn’t even handle early access, they should have taken action then. What is particularly interesting Skiros is that you seem to think much of ff14s failing is somehow unique to this game . In regards to your comment about my lack of knowledge . You're strong bias is showing , did you not pay any attention to the question i posed ?

Your hatred and disgust is blinding your arrogance . You aren't some paragon that has seen the light and knows the truth that were are somehow to blind to see , and quite frankly for you to make this as bold a statement as you have done shows me particularly that you have nothing much else but anger and negativity depsite some of your more reasonable grievances you have shared to the forum members of this community.


I too dislike blind fanaticisms , no matter then target of the zealotry , I too think much about this game gets a free pass and there are many tells I see with the way things are and more importantly are not communicated . Fanaticism allows a publisher/developer to get lazy because the fanatics buy it anyways , but that isnt exclusive to FF14 , far from it. Its annoying and stifles real progress especially if a game needs fixes and real genuine feedback gets drowned out giving people the false impression that you're unheard and disliked making people unhappy to bother giving it.


Despite what ever your feeling are about the people here and or the game , what everyone should be paying much attention to is your clear disgust at the game and its players , yet here you are posting like its going out of fashion. Why would you do such a thing . Why are you fuelling your own hatred if this game and its community is so "false" and "blind" , and not keeping away from something you dislike, quite a lot judging by your words
