Will we ever see a day when Square Enix apologizes for releasing too much content?

Lost Ark developers literally had to apologize to the playerbase for releasing content too quickly because players can't clear them quickly enough!

There are many who think that Lost Ark's content is merely grinding after grinding for that gear honing, but no! Lost Ark's raids in T3 are way meatier than anything FF14 has to offer.

Take a look at the latest legion raid in Lost Ark:

It has six floors, last a total of nearly an hour, and is more difficult than our current Savage tier.

And that's just **ONE** raid.

Will Square Enix try to match the cadence of Lost Ark? I doubt it! But in a fantasy world I wish:

- 6 Savage raid floors each tier, with a Savage+ challenge mode that requires BiS, giving players something to do once they get BiS, and this challenge mode gives additional materials for them to gear their alts (like twines) plus dyeable weapons and such!

- Hard mode 24-man raids every odd patch that is around Extreme difficulty and gives same ilvl gear as BiS with different substats.

- More content like Delubrum Savage and Baldesion, maybe at least twice each expansion!

- A full-fledged alternate progression system in the relic zones that fully rewards gearing - by giving the Delubrum Savage equivalent gear the same ilvl as the Savage gear for example.

in 2021, they released all the legion commander raids, normal hard and hell modes, 3 new guardian raids, 2 new story continents, with their own story dungeons and whatnot. It was one crazy ass year.

So the devs said, you know what, yeah that was too much, let's take it easy this year.

So now in 2022, they plan on releasing 2 new legion raids, 4~5 new continents with all it's story stuff. 2 new abyss raids, and at least 2 new guardian raids. I'm pretty sure they don't understand the meaning of taking it easy.

I sure wish Square Enix also didn't know the meaning of taking it easy!

I don't get why folks have to be so pistol-whipped to say any kind of "criticism" is acceptable. I thought fans of the game were supposed to be the white knights!

Like, just as quickly as the criticizers point out how fans appear to defend the game, you guys appear just as quickly to shield the OP. It's getting seriously sad to see the forum littered with one person putting every single cynical thought about how much they hate this MMO into text format, having fun as they leave behind a wake of sizzling threads with people fighting each other, and still getting lauded for it like it's some heroic act.

No one cares but I'll say it anyway: OF is becoming boring and tedious to browse so I'll be taking my leave from this place. I can imagine the developers feeling the same.

Sorry to jump back to this Lauront but that's taken from Yoshi's famous presentation about ARR at the Game Developers' Conference in 2013 where he explained about the hard lessons SE had taken with the failure of 1.0 and which guided ARR's development (that was still in advanced beta testing at the time). Players like to use slides from it in an ironic or even mocking way about perceived issues they may have with the game, especially in topics like this one.

Either way, sorry to derail the topic (as if it hadn't already long left the rails anyway!) but I noticed no one responded to your question so I thought I'd try and give some much needed credibility to this thread.

it's one of the dev teams slides about the lessons they "apparantly" learnt from 1.0.
I say apparrently because many would say they should really go back and take another look at them.

Many of the games problems exist becuase they ignore or contradict those "lessons"
