Which went out the window the moment you run ahead of the tank and pull. DPS and healers aren't exempt from common courtesy either.
This is the mentality of the people who still run P1S with braindead strat.

Tanks that fail to pull wall to wall, that don't use sprint, etc. should be kicked right before the last boss. If people are looking to "teach those lousy, pulling DPS a lesson," then they can get a taste of their own medicine.

Bait? I'm completely serious. Not pulling fast enough, not properly mitigating, not grabbing enough mobs, not using sprint. etc. are all git gud problems. If someone is new to tanking that's one thing; take it easy, let them learn. If they're clearly not? Remove them at the last boss to ensure as much of their time has been wasted as possible. Also do this if you have one of those "you pull it, you tank it" people, though individuals with that mentality are generally already so bad at the game you might actually be better off with a DPS tanking.

The same should be done with healers that won't DPS and DPS that won't AoE on trash, provided of course they're not new. Like I said, new people need to be given some slack so they can actually learn what to do.

The subject is you pull you tank, still they don't.

My friend pulls ahead of me as DPS sometimes, and I could care less if he did. I'm going to the wall anyway what's the problem? Literal ego issue.

Tanks are useless in single pulls, may as well ignore them.
Healers are almost useless compared to Warriors in dungeons.

Solid DPS players are your actual carriers in most content. More DPS: More Time Value. Or would you rather spend 30-40 mins in a dungeon? I don't have time to spend almost an hour in a dungeon just to clear when I could clear in 10-20 mins, there's nothing petty about Healers/DPS trying to encourage to go faster. Sprint: It's Free, it's Free, it's Free, it's Free!!

Going back to your original post, how is the DPS and Healer being petty of they pull ahead? They are just doing what is essentially expected in a run, especially in max level dungeons. Did you in any way try to communicate to slow down a bit and let you pull? There is no petty behaviour being demonstrated by the Healer/DPS, just impatience.

You on the other hand decided to punish them for no reason with a fake excuse, wasting everyone's time, even more so if there was another member of the party that did let you pull first, why punish them for something that they shouldn't be punished for? You should, again, communicate with the team, I know, talking is hard and you just want to be guy on top. You have punished the wrongdoers and anyone else who had no part in their shenanigans, despite not giving them a chance to change their behaviour. That is what makes you petty.

I said only that it's a free tool you should probably be using and that you shouldn't grief/PK your party members for using a tool you can't be bothered to use. And I will stand by that.

I have the privilege of one of my good friends being a healer, so if she sees a DPS trying that with me in content I don't want to pull wall to wall (for me, rare, but sometimes on DRK I'll just run out of cooldowns and decide to start DPS on a group before pulling more for MP/cd countdown, but even on DRK this is rare for me) we will rescue him into us and warn him not to do it again. If he does it again, I let him hold aggro and healer doesn't heal him. It's rare that I don't pull entire dungeons, so if I do there's usually a reason for it. Particular mob does extra damage, waiting on a key cooldown/resource, whatever it may be. If I am not with my partner in crime, I will politely ask them to let me pace the pulls, I may not trust the healer or something, and then I match their respect. I had a Reaper yelling at me in smileton because I couldn't keep up with him, which was a damn meme because he'd start running before pulls ere dead, use sprint, and dash forward all in one go to the next group. I was with my healer partner for this one, so when he did the same thing to aggro the boss, I just took my tank stance off, let him eat the tankbuster and die, then replaced my tank stance. It's one thing to pretend this game is a race (Like I see people in this thread doing) it's another thing to play in a way that requires other players to go beyond their levels of comfort. Just show them the respect they showed you.
