Price is fine - it's a gil sink and if you have a house then you can also be growing shards to earn the purchase price back within a few days.

I'd be interested in seeing examples of positions you've placed the stable in Preview mode but can't use in actual placement. You might need to place the stable first then any furnishings you want adjacent using a storage glitch due to item collision.

Certainly I won't object if SE wants to add new styles of stables (just like I'd love them to add a new 8 slot garden patch without the ugly scarecrow) but if they're going to do it, I'd want the look to at least be somewhat realistic. If they made the chocobo stables any smaller, I'd be looking for the Eorzean SPCA so I could report the owner.

If the stable appearance and size bothers you that much, don't have one in your yard. Use the stable at your apartment building or FC house instead. That comes with the added bonus of other players being able to help train your chocobo so it will gain ranks faster.

Messy mess is still going to happen with various small wildlife checking out the stable without the chocobo there to scare them off and weather conditions shifting things around (rain is very good at this and the small roof on the stable is not going to keep rain away from the bottom). It wouldn't happen quite as fast but it definitely would happen.
Thanks for your supercilious attitude, but no, I ride horses IRL thanks, and our local stables don't look anything like this, they have stone walls, ceramic roof, and metal doors. What's more, that suggestion "bothers you that much, don't have one" is just plain toxic. Please rethink your attitude.

It's especially hilarious hearing people fall back on "realism" arguments of any kind in a fantasy universe. For a FC house these stables house an unrealistic 512 chocobo. Which is, by the way, a completely fictional creature. I also have a giant living lotus parasol, a towering glowing pink marshmallow, a pet dragon, and a flying tank. How's that for realism?

How nice, you've ridden horses a few times. I grew up with them and cared for them daily. Horses can spook far too easily for any sane and humane person to keep them stabled in a stone enclosure. They would severely injure themselves trying to escape in a panic. Most commercial riding stables do not have the best track record when it comes to the safety of their horses and euthanasia happens far too often. Hopefully the one you use has proper stables nearby for the horses when they're not on display for customers who are impressed by pretty stone walls.

It's not toxic to tell someone if they don't like something, then don't get it. That's solid, practical advice. It makes no sense to encourage a person to waste money on something they can only complain about.

Most fantasy has a basis in reality. Garden parasols created more for art than for function can be found in fanciful shapes so the Lotus Parasol won't raise any eyebrows. Your "towering pink marshmallow" could be a trimmed Weeping Cherry Tree in real life. Dragons are based on lizards and birds, tanks are actual vehicles and with the way technology is going they might well be capable of flight some day.

Like I said, I don't have problems with SE adding new styles for stables but they still need that dose of realism (Eorzean "reality") so they accurately represent what they're supposed to be.

They followed that statement in the same paragraph with an explanation of what you can do instead. There is no need to take up space on your personal garden if your FC has a stable, which it probably does. The stable is visually and functionally designed to house multiple chocobos, not just your own.

Also, 125,000 gil is really not much money in the overall scheme of the game, especially for what is intended to be a permanent functional fixture, ideally shared by multiple people. Its appearance is irrelevant when you need it for what it does.
