I’ve gone back and read some of the OPs responses. I also recall a lot of their responses in other threads with a better than thou attitude about how they present themselves. I think this mark in their account is more than likely justified. Like they’ve had to eat their own words finally. Time to change tactics or more importantly, change attitude

I'm glad their penalties are heavy handed and that their enforcement of the ToS is as strict as it is. If they weren't as strict or if they didn't resort to the responses how they do now then people would only be more inclined to skirt around the ToS. It's really not that difficult to abide by them.

You're not funny, and what you've said in the past crossed a line. It resulted in the deletion of your posts and probably a temp ban, too. It's shameless is what it is. How people can spew out abuse without considering the person on the other side of the screen. Grow up.

I mean Senn, honestly you're in here JUST to harass and mock Sturm, yourself. You're not showing any better character growth over the last few years. In fact, you seem obsessed with Sturm still, what with your desire to come in where ever they post just to talk poorly about them. What I said in the past, I'll say again; I didn't care for the idea of male Viera and they were executed far too femininely for me. On topic though, just because you don't like someone doesn't mean you come in and dog them and say, "Yeah, yeah for sure this person is a bad person that probably did everything wrong in that instance!"

The strange thing here is whether the person made the report or not is only the first step, it is within the discretion of a GM to decide whether the instance warrants a particular action to be carried out in response. So it's on as much as the GM as it is the player as to whether something can be construed as being against the ToS.

But whilst we're on this tangent of people getting upset with others. The ultimate fact remains that they took the conscious decision in their behaviour. - They and they alone, just accept the responsibility that comes with your behaviour. Either think about what you do or write before you do it, or don't at all. Even better; if you get sanctioned and you disagree with the action carried out by the GM then you can try and dispute it. At that point if 3 (inclusive of the original reporter) people deemed it inappropriate then it probably was. Besides, regardless of how you try to rationalise it. If your subsequent comment on another forum boils down to "Can't beat em, join em" Then you don't really paint an innocent picture in that regard.

Very well put. A report doesn't necessarily mean action will be taken on the account. The report was reviewed by a GM and deemed to violate the ToS.

You do not know whether a GM reviewed it or not. And when you look how enthusiastic the FF14 players usually are when it comes to report other players, i can imagine that they have an automatic account flagging system for that. Otherwise you would need hundreds of GMs to review the reports.

This is false as someone who has recently been in contact with GMs for harassment. They do inform you that they have reviewed it and are investigating and are taking some form of action. What that specifically is, they do not inform you. But outright saying that they don't give you any sort of feedback is a lie.

How do you know they hand out warnings or any other penalty without reviewing the report(s)? Of course GMs look at it.

My speculation based on what and how OP written. The most likely cause might be not reviving down player when the situation allow. Then I believe there are some exchange of arguments and OP might have use some “emotional” words.

Could it be the truth, only OP, those report her and might be GM know. However, based on the limited informations/statements we got, I think this is the more likely scenario

It's really just a guess since none of us know for certain what the report was specifically, just that OP was apparently griefing. And going by OP's general attitude about withholding raises in certain instances and getting complaints for doing that, it's not hard to put two and two together. But for all we know, the report could have been for something else entirely.
