So it's not intended to take long at all, it's just left up to luck instead. Glad we managed to clear that up.
Wake up, sheeple! #MapTruther
Love how you're trying to discredit what I'm saying just because I didn't address something. But fine. The rare items are always harder to get. In every single game. It's part of the grind in ANY game that makes you play just a bit longer if you have bad RNG/luck. There will always been junk in the item pools you'll always get an item 100% of the time to make it take longer. It's basically the same as getting nothing when you get something that common.
And you're all ignoring the fact that it's an MMO RPG. They're not meant to be sped through if you want to get all the stuff you actually want to get.

Man, you must be having fun in the Lochs with all that salt you have. There's always people that manage to get a new item rather quickly, but MANY more that it can take a loooong while to get.
If you get a rare item fast it's luck. If you get a rare item fast it also means you had great RNG. They're basically one in the same for getting it like that. Same for the total opposite end of the spectrum.
This is literally how many things are designed in all games to keep you playing longer. It's part of any game's grind no matter how many people complain that their personal experience is the only thing that matters when it comes to these drop rates.

So RNG isn't just RNG, and can be tweaked at the whim of the devs. Thanks for agreeing with me.Love how you're trying to discredit what I'm saying just because I didn't address something. But fine. Yeah been running 90 maps with my crew and it's just the pits. We make it to end maybe once a session on 15-20 maps. Very rare to see drops except that mask. That drops all the time.
I just chalk it up to how the whole 50/50 door system sucks and hope we get the roulette version at some point. But I wouldn't be surprised to find out they designed it so there's separate RNG on each door and you can fail both or something.
Getting tome gear is supposed to take a specific amount of time under the weekly cap (some might call it too long). That's what it means that something is intended to take time. Leaving something to RNG is refusing to think of an intended amount of time something should take.Man, you must be having fun in the Lochs with all that salt you have. You've just been unlucky, it happens.
Personal luck doesn't make up for statics much, alone.
If I was to put it based on my luck, I got portals most times in EW and very often 5th floor, while in ShB I rarely gor portals ever, so I could say they buffed them. But like they said it's rng.
As for maps not being worth much, it's because the current drops aren't worth much. The current glam was worthless right away as almost nobody likes it, and that's usually the main money-maker of maps. It will probably get better when they add new items. Also, map prices usually are high the first week or so and they were this time too. They're always pretty cheap when there's nothing new.
Literally go to the other threads about tomestone stuff instead of talking about that here. Not touching it here because this is about RNG, not tomes.Getting tome gear is supposed to take a specific amount of time under the weekly cap (some might call it too long). Should every enemy in the game drop every item they can all the time?
Should every chest drop every item it possibly can? This means more than just armour, including cards, music rolls, furnishing items, minions, ect.
RNG has always been a time sink to get people to play any game just a bit longer than if people were just given the items right away. It pads out playtime. This is true for pretty much every single RPG out there, online or offline.
It's also RNG for how much damage you do. No matter your gear you have damage values between X and Y, with other things changing it like Direct and Crit hits. Two people with the same exact gear/stats won't have the exact same damage, and I'm ignoring player skill in this, as well as ignoring debuffs put onto enemies/buffs put on player characters by others.
