I agree. The argument you're using should be put to rest because it carries no weight.

The immersion argument from Yoshi was made several years ago now. I believe it was during HW that he made it. The game and Yoshi have evolved since then. If this dev team had greater foresight, they would have acknowledged just how important glamour is to players, and would have implemented a better system for it from the get go. Unfortunately this is not the case, and fulfilling player glamour wishes is now more cumbersome as a result. It is what it is.

In regards to restrictions. The devs owe no explanation as to why they are in place, and why they continue to restrict gear. Releasing playful sets of gear like a frog or pig suit, bikinis, etc. along with removing restrictions on current gear is meant to increase the options for the player, not to give players ammunition to use against the dev team to release all restrictions.

If you play a female character, you will likely notice that some gear will totally overwrite your CC selections. I am not sure if this happens to male avatars as they lack the anatomy in question this happens with. That is just one of many obstacles the dev team faces when creating new sets of gear, and so overwriting your CC selection to make it work for everyone is the faster, less costly, and more efficient means to the end. Now imagine taking an existing set of gear meant for males or females, and making them work for the opposite.

This also applies to sets of gear specified for a certain role. Within that role they have a certain amount of animations to contend with to make sure the gear works for all the jobs within that role. Now with that in mind, take a set meant for say 'healing', and now they have to make that set work for all the other roles in the game and their animations. This applies to new sets to be released as well. It's all time, time, and more time. Time the dev team doesn't have, because they have deadlines. Unless you guys love to see Yoshi cry when he can't deliver.
