Big difference: In the Christian creation myth mankind brought it on themselves. The Ancients did nothing wrong but react in a realistic manner to trauma. And Hell, IMHO, Eve wanting to eat the apple wasn't worthy of she and Adam getting thrown out of paradise, so there is that. -shrug-
