    Another week on Light EU, another week where I can only play 3 days of the week..........
    I pay sub and the game is unplayable from friday to monday...
    I can only play relatively lag free from tuesday to thursday then hell starts again.

    And even on tuesday to thursday I still can get it randomly I am getting so tired of this.

    Edit: The healer in my daily Expert Dungeon today had lag too and we died from the first pull because of it so it's not just me in the same instance either.

    Edit 2: I am so over this that I went ahead and got Mudfish, my issues instantly went away and the game is buttery smooth ( for now... ).
    It's complete bs that I need to pay for a third party software to get around these shitty nodes that are obviously the problem...
    It's not entirely SE's fault I guess but SE should still give these people handling these node a call and put pressure on them it's totally unacceptable.

    The game has been unplayable for almost 2 weeks now. No matter what I do, 204.2.229.230 drops packets like crazy. WinMTR is showing anywhere from 50 to 70% packet loss. Using a VPN doesn't help, because the route always goes through the Sacramento/San Jose NTT hops, and then to 204.2.229.230 (which I assume is part of the data center) and then to Aether at 204.2.229.9. I tried to file a support ticket but just got a generic response telling me to clear my IE browser history (what does that have to do with anything??)

    This happens multiple times a year, and it's so ridiculous that Square Enix and NTT just refuse to even acknowledge it, much less fix it.

    I totally agree it's a huge problem, the game has been a complete nightmare to play because of these garbage nodes.
    I can vouch for Mudfish to get around it the game has been buttery smooth since I got it

    It's not ideal and it's extremely frustrating that they're ignoring the problem when there's so much evidence but if you want a quick solution for now I'd recommend it.
    I can actually enjoy the game with it without having to worry and have anxiety every second in Savage because I might lag out at any point.
    It's insane how big of a difference just getting around that node did it feels as responsive as a singleplayer game for me now.

    Mudfish doesn't work for me at all. Regardless of which location I choose, it always ends up going through 204.2.229.230, which is where all the packet loss happens. So it rubberbands like crazy no matter what.

    I got another joke reply from SE's email tech support earlier today. They completely ignored everything I said in the email and copy/pasted some nonsense about updating my graphics card drivers, etc. Totally irrelevant to *THEIR* (not my) network issues.

    Well at least for me it's been a solid week with perfectly normal ping 24 hours a day, after suffering for nearly a month.

    I know it's not much of a consolation for the tons of you still having lag issues but the problem appears to be at least slowly resolving.

    I can agree to this, with the exception of Friday where the first hour was normal and then a bunch of random mild spikes but it wasn't relatively bad all around. It looks to be slowly fixing itself but time will tell.

    So, ping spike is happening once again.. earlier than usual at 6pm. Usual troubling SJ node..

    Very odd week, Monday through Saturday ish, it was normal with having weird/mild back to back ping spikes to normal on Friday/Saturday.

    Started back again for me sometime in the last week or so. It's like it was before I fixed my line and got my own gear (modem/router). Dungeons/raids/trials are almost unplayable for me right now, and it's pissing me off.

    never had problems for the first six months of playing this game and now for the past four-five days its unplayable with random 10-30sec freezes and occasional disconnects. I've tried all the fixes and even mudfish but nothing I do on my end seems to help... its happening randomly throughout the day too not just at high-traffic times. on primal btw

    just posting in here bc its nice to know I'm not alone lol, getting really frustrated bc theres not much I can even do ingame at this point
