The Aurum Vale requires the Darkhold quest is a bad idea.

I think I got fortunate, doing monk we went to fight a NM and got popped (me n a friend)

Some others turned up, eventually we had 8 people n decided to stick together.

Our monk quest took us to Darkhold and we went through and I needed the quest anyway so I ran to the camp near glory, then came back, we ran in took our time (as we was looking for chest), killed orge, got chest, then i asked if i could have help to finish quest, they did.

And now I have it completed =)

Try get a group for some AF that takes you there, WHM/MNK does I think.

They want you to experience it first before you go right into the new one. God forbid they want you to see their old content. Like everyone said, it's very easy. There were plenty of people in my LS who still needed so they did it for them.

Just cause it's bad for you doesn't mean it's bad for everyone else.

Went to enter AV after finally getting party of 8 and BAM 3 of us were not able to.

Now I gotta get some ppl to get my gimp self through DH. yay.

luckily 2 of them just never turned in the damn quest, the other guy just sounded clueless

I beat Darkhold so its not my problem anymore, it wasn't really hard but I can see why people would have trouble with it. However this still creates a pretty harsh gap to newer players.

The way its designed now it will be harder to get a group to do it later on, a lot of people where standing outside the zone so it was easy to get a group. I am guessing if you don't do your AF quest in the first couple of weeks it will be hard to find a group.

Although I guess most of this stuff would be fixed when 2.0 comes out and they have the content finder people can queue up for the zone they need and find other people who need it as well.

Now to try and do AV. But probably save that for tomorrow.

You think that it's a bad idea that Darkhold, An instance that has to do with the Garlean Empire, is a requirement to continue along the same path in this new instance....Which involves the Garlean Empire. Clearly you lack the ability to put two and two together to make four.
