This is stupid, there must be a better way to deal with bots. If they are going to put us up against achievements that require you to synth 3000 times then they need to set the limit somewhere around 100 at a minimum... if they really do this at all. They really need to get rid of bots, not just make it annoying for the rest of us.

When I'm grinding I just put up a movie and use a controller in the background, I'm not clear why I need to be involved/looking when I'm doing 300 r10 synths at r45-50. I'm almost 100% certain this will just piss off active players and do absolutely nothing to bots. Maybe they should focus on the bots/rmt camped out at Cedarwood (Mysidia) spamming some leve where they can gather karakul fleece.

No kidding some of these rules and arguments in here are so dumb. I am fine with the standing up after so many synths definitely not debating that but the idea that it's against the TOS to not look at your monitor is flat out dumb let alone open for so many errors. I have two monitors when I am crafting something that doesn't require anything but spamming standard I usually watch something while legitimately pushing buttons not botting or turbo controller so why should someone be punished for this.Heck more than half of the players who play this do this.

What if you are playing pushing the button and someone comes and talks to you irl and you look away for a few while you talk while pushing the button still and a GM comes and you don't answer is that grounds for a banning I sure hope not.

it isnt gonna be a ban if you dont respond right away

but lets say your ignoring the screen for 30 minutes while hes attempting to contact you, all the while your crafting away....theres a line to be drawn, looking away for a minute or 2 here and there is one thing, but some people are arguing that they should be allowed to not look for hours at a time and run programs and use controls to play the game for them and that its ok because they want to do it

I understand exactly what people are getting at and in terms of not paying any attention for hours sure I agree.I also agree that running programs are illegal I never disagreed with that. I mean personally when I am watching something and legitimately playing I look at the screen from time to time but I mean I don't always read chat and what not I just look make sure I am not standing and everything is still going and I know alot of people do this and I just don't think it would be fair to be punished for this. Guess I'll have to pay more attention in the future I guess to make sure nothing like this happens lol it is just so hard to sit and stare at the same thing over and over while crafting it is so boring.
