I’m struggling to comprehend why some believe bringing in Female Hrothgar is more important than fixing the issues we have now. There’s absolutely 0 rush for female Hrothgar, we could do without them for a while longer. Personally, I would argue that they’re not necessary if this is how much SE are struggling to balance work loads and finish races that they started years ago. It’s not worth having 2 very unfinished races and it’s not okay to make V/H wait any longer than they have already.

I just want the Calfskin Cap to work. I would legit pay $$ just for that one hat. It is so unbelieveably criminal they excluded V/H from using it.

It’s a bestial trait. And Viera are technically similar to bunnies.

But it’s unsurprising that people would prefer the only traits to be the animal ears and nothing else - thus rendering them more hyur-like.

Not my cup of tea and I’m thankful that the developers will likely deny this request. I love bunny noses.

What's wrong with the viera nose? Absolutely nothing.
They're almost identical in likeness to the Viera in FFXII so the highlight on the bottom part of the nose is meant to be similar to a rabbit's nose. In simple terms, it's a beast race feature that is luckily here to stay & makes them unique! (unlike being hyur which lacks personality or any uniqueness at all. )

Agreed. The Viera have already been further humanized if we were to compare XII to the now XIV.. I don't think making their appearance even more human is a good idea - there's nothing to fix if its how the race is intended.

Granted I switched to Au Ra for the time being since I got bored with the lack of hairstyles and had some fantasias anyway, but yeah, I think the only bad noses viera have are on face four where all but nr 2 makes the face look horrible. Which means that anyone picking face four basically looks the same if they dont want that weird upnose.

Tell me, what are the other things SE should prioritise? Why do you think it’s acceptable to bring in new races and hold off their compensation for 3+ years? Do you think it’s fair Viera and Hrothgar have been unfinished races for all that time?

I am Hrothgar. I have always been Hrothgar. The other day someone asked me “Well, if you couldn’t play Hrothgar what would you be?” to which my reply was “Still playing Warcraft.”

That said, I do feel somewhat slighted that I participate in the same events that others do seasonally, and there’s nothing but loot I can’t use. I hate that I can buy the Aymeric set, and can’t use the haircut everyone else does. And I get the distinct feeling that Square does things like “Whelp. We can’t get the hair to work on Hrothgar, and we can’t get the hats on the Viera, so we’re not going to give either of them anything because it’s not ‘fair’ to the other one.”

So you know what, I totally feel you. And 6.1 Hrothgar are supposed to get haircuts. And maybe we will, I think we won’t, but remains to be seen. There’s also new housing, data centers, servers to think about too.

I was watching the AF gear reveal for Reaper with a bunch of friends and of course we loved the gameplay. But the cries of “HOLY SHIT IS THAT A TAIL!?!? IS THAT A HROTHGAR WITH A HAT?” I mean, people were just so… .happy.

That said, I don’t think that SE really reads these threads. And I don’t want a prioritization over login queue/capacity issues - but I do want to hear something like “We’re going to commit to haircuts - real ones - as of 6.x, and all new headgear to come out from here on out will be Viera/Hrothgar compatible.” A verbal commitment. Is this something we could make a petition for somewhere?
