A knife-throwing job with a more devious aesthetic that's a more selfish DPS to contrast against MCH with just a small touch of support.

Not really. Ninja has a very dull-looking, weak dagger throw to maintain DPS while at range, but it is by far not their identity. For Juggler, I was thinking making a gauge centered around gil toss, generating a "gil gauge" and spending that for high damage as well as perhaps having a large bladed ring you can throw that bounces off enemies and lands on the ground. If you pick it up or stand where it lands, you throw it again for extra damage several times in a row.
With all this talk about Time Mage, if it were DPS, the dev team would have a lot of freedom on how they design the job considering the creative space DPS roles have versus healer or tank which need to be constantly balanced around the same baseline.
And considering that Sage isn't anything like it's Tactics Advance counterpart, I would say that Time Mage could be unique in its own right.
The dev team already went out of their way to removed the time spells off of AST and have been focusing on creating space themes.
Yes it's close and often times, space and time are very linked together. But I think it could work as they can have similarlities. As long as Time Magic doesn't step into having stars and constellations as part of their sfx effects.
As for how the kit would work, in a normal rpg Time Mage is still pretty broken and you can't have the same effects in an MMO. But delayed/extended based dps kit could be interesting. Time could 100% be a dot based job with its pay off being procs with properly extended dots.
You had me at Laguna, OP. Loved him FF8 and was one of my top favorite characters to play as in FF Dissidia Duodecim.
Don't need to see the videos to get the jist of what your talking about. I definitely want this, or at least Machinist's main weapon reconfigured to function like Laguna's with a massive transformation gun weapon you can summon as a separate weapon, like the rest of our Machinst arsenal.
Thank gooness you saw from it, dude no joke we really need a true gunner class, i'm not saying machinist sucks but yes More guns to use.You had me at Laguna, OP. Loved him FF8 and was one of my top favorite characters to play as in FF Dissidia Duodecim.

I would love to see a Musketeer or Corsair class based on the twin muskets used by Merlwyb.
I'm bias because I've been waiting forever for some more dps casters. Rdm was a good add, but blue was a slap in the face and feels insulting sitting there, it just stares at me on the list laughing at me. lol (as fun as it is to poke around on.)
This is my wild stab in the dark, reading my broken crystal ball. Beastmaster phys ranged (Limited) and a new legit Melee... Not what I want, but that's my guess.
Things I would love to see... a new dps caster... Corsair, Rune Knight (that last ones not ranged I know.)

I would absolutely love if the fourth ranged dps was blitzballer, I would main the hell out of that.
Wouldn’t a musketeer use… a musket? I dunno, am I missing something? I don’t really play FF games beyond this one.
I’m also leaning towards there being no dot jobs in the future. Like pets, the devs have kiiiinda shown that they hate working with and balancing dots.
