Most of the people tend to use the whole lawsuit situation as a way to justify their hate for a video game, while forgetting that all the victims were actually workers at Blizzard as well. That the entire discussion around the lawsuit was game dev industry and how Blizzard isn't the only company with these problems.
The victims of these actions also helped build the games. The people at Blizz Walkout are workers too.

Even the Activision employees said that boycotts aren't going to change anything and might do more harm than good. This just impact the workers' bonus.

Truth is, if WoW was in a good state or at it's prime time like FFXIV is now, many wouldn't bat an eye, since it doesn't serve their own narrative of treating a video game as some source of evil. People are just using a sad and grave situation to fuel their opinions about something that has little to do with it - a game.

Supporting any Blizzard property IS supporting sexual predators as they are still getting paid more money that almost any of us will ever see in our lifetimes.

Perhaps before throwing fingers and acting like ignoring Blizzard is going to do any good, maybe we should listen to the workers that are protesting and putting their selves on the frontline if we care so much about sexual harassment and other types of abuse inside the game industry? If you're not willing to hear the victims, then stop acting like you're doing something good for them and others aren't.

Simply saying "blizz bad, everyone involved with it is bad!!" doesn't help anyone. You just turn Blizzard into a villain and ignore the bigger and deeper problem: the gamedev industry.

I did for all of 20 min. I like WoW's death mechanic where you have to run back to your body. The game though feels too much like Aion and I had my fill of Aion.

Though WoW predates Aion, so it can be said that Aion is a copy cat of WoW.

Blizzard is a shit company and hopefully the workers there can find another company to work for. The higher ups only care about two things. Breast milk and money. The stuff that has been uncovered about Blizzard is absolutely disgusting. Any small indie company that had that much shit uncovered about them would have been buried by now but because Blizzard is this huge company they can get fined as many times as they want because they got all this money.

As for the community of blizzard supporting "predators" I actually tend not to jump on this bandwagon BUT I think there is some truth to this because now that all this has come out and has come out that it is TRUE the community knowingly supports such a company. Where do you think there cash shop money goes to? there subs? It helps those monsters that are being perverted towards there workers and for some damn reason stealing breast milk!?!?!? to keep there salaries. If you want to hit a company and hit it hard you do it by choking off there life support aka money. The more money you give Blizzard the more they think its going to be okay to just wait for the bad PR to blow over and continue to do these stupid thing.

Also before anyone says anything I myself even stopped supporting Riot games and I was a huge whale buying all sorts of League of Legends skins. I have even went as far as not even watching Arcane even if it suppose to be a really good show.

Placing the blame in the community is so out-of-touch. You do realize that Square Enix is not without fault's like crunching employee's and even sexual harassment, right?

There's a difference between having problems that happen in your company vs having your CEO be on record in a court proceeding to admitting floating the idea of hiring a contract killer to go after employees who filed sexual harassment abuse claims...

This is a question of impact.

It doesn't matter if you don't intend to support those monsters, or if they have people working under them who are not monsters. The machine itself is monstrous. The people running it have done everything in their power to continue a cycle of horrendous abuse that has led to actual death...

And any money given to that organization supports those people running it.

Until the leadership from the top all the way down to at least the mid level is removed and replaced... the entire enterprise is toxic.

Again, this narrative doesn't help the victims. The victims themselves said so. You're saying the victims are toxic, then? These people pour love into the games they make, despite the circumstances. Bobby deserves to pay for his crimes, but acting like he is a specific monster and this is, again, a problem exclusive to "toxic" blizzard won't help solve the problem.
It's a narrative easier to buy, because you can just keep preaching about how Blizzard is bad and keep thinking you're doing something to help any change while doing so, but achieves nothing. It's comfortable, you sit there never really engaging in anything and pointing fingers at people that doesn't really do the same as you.

I suggest that if you really feel that what happened was wrong, go and read Blizz Walkout posts, see what the workers need, demand transparency from the companies you follow, look for Square Enix victims as well (they exist!), keep an eye for the entirety of the game industry. Listen to the people that work in this industry. What happened at Blizzard isn't something exclusive to it, sadly, and this tunnel-vision helps no one.
Either do that, or as I said, stop acting like you're doing some grand action against such horrors and pointing fingers at people playing a video-game. Things aren't as simple as that, and the ones involved told us so.
