Final Fantasy 14 Players trying WOW?

So not played WOW yet.....

There has been migration from WOW to FFXIV but wondered if anyone had tried the other way (though i wont migrate)

I have been for a while a casual a FFXIV player and have been active since 1.0 and not looking to stop playing as have a ton of memorabilia, happy times in game and been to a 14 fan fest and even Eorzean Symphony so a 10+ year investment. I am happy with the game but I do feel I want to try other things and thought I would try WOW. I tried GW2 and ESO and wasn't overly keen and did play EQ2 in the past.

Cannot change the title but any other mmorpgs people can recommend i like dot classes/necromancer style? I dont think I want to pay to support anything

I have read threads of WOW abut the community and company. I just wondered if there are any people who have actually tried the game in 2021/2022 and if its any good?. The warlock dot class looks like something I would try and I suppose there is WOW classic. Are there any EU based servers that are well known for 30/40 year old players. I am PVE player than PVP so any thoughts anytips always welcome?

Yes, absolutely, thanks, this is my plan I was looking for a good server and possibly a free company (guild i guess in wow).

Modern WoW is a lot of fun. The WoW forums/reddit/etc. are cesspits, but the game itself is really enjoyable. Mythic+ dungeons, raids, etc. are great, and modern WoW is design for people to play without having to no-life the game.

Absolute Chocobo shite. WoW Devs only care about engagement, how much time people play the game for. Loot systems are needlessly punishing, mandatory borrowed power grinds, overly-punishing lockouts on obsolete content...

World of Warcraft does not respect your time, or its own content in any way that can even come close to being called "fun" and you can sink multiple raid lockouts and not get anything, or spend a week spamming M+ and only get ONE drop, from your weekly pity cache.

i played WoW a long time ago, raiding and pvp is not my thing. and after the blizz scandal iam not giving them another penny so you wont ever find me playing WoW or any other blizzard/activision game

Why punish everyone who works for them for the actions of a few executives?

You're punishing all of the low level employees who dedicate their lives to making the games as fun as they can; despite all of the bad systems they're forced to implement due to bad management.

Support them so you can show support for the people that are actually affected by the scandals.
