The only mmorpgs aside from FFXIV I would recommend (currently out), maybe GW2 or ESO, supposedly SWTOR is still going. SWTOR could be nice if someone wants to play story. ESO has a terrible cash shop, and it really hampers the experience, plus I have heard PvP is very very laggy, PvE might be okay. GW2 is a nice little relaxing game mostly, kind of boring for me, but it's not a bad game. At least last time I played it.
PvP in Legion was fun, and they provided some pretty decent incentives for players of all skill levels to do it. The newly added Demon Hunter was what I used most, though I had (well, wanted) to do it on my other characters for the artifact appearances. That's probably the last time I actually enjoyed PvP at all. The only real "rush" I've gotten since then was declaring war on others in War Mode with a group of hunters on the Timeless Isle when I was trying to get a pet tame. lol Many people learned what hunter justice was that day.
