This isn't the point of this forum post, it doesn't matter how many people are playing as Viera and Hrothgar its irrelevant. The point is even in EW as well as future events we're still unable to wear the hats... We can't even equip the new BLM or RDM hats, it's ridiculous.

I sympathize with the spirit and intent of the topic but need to seriously ask if you'd actually wear the thing unironically? Aside from some rather niche uses, those things are pretty much just collector items to show that you were around at certain times.

Would think that they would make more hats/armors with tail enhancements more a priority at least for the Miqo'te and Au Ra seeing as how their populations destroy all the others. At least their Female versions.

The Viera/Hrothgar situation is frustrating as a whole. I still can't understand why they thought it would be OK to implement the races in this way when previously Au Ra were added with no such issues. If two races were going to be too big of a bite to chew for them, they really should have dialed it back and kept to a single race. People would of speculated what other race may have been in the running, but if that had been the way of things, we wouldn't have known what we were missing anyway.

At this point, I'm pretty resigned that Viera/Hrothgar will probably never be fully complete, and that's a shame. It's just another glaring issue that I have with this game that is getting heaped on top of the always-growing list. I do feel that Yoshi and the devs are trying to deliver the best they can with what they are given, but on the other hand it also feels that SE is unwilling to really give them the funding/support that this game needs for updates across the board. It's their super successful cash-cow....give it some love!

I still play the game, crack is hard to give up after all, but all the shortcomings of this game would really make me question hopping blindly over to SE's next MMO.

I feel you pain, I use to play Togruta in swtor. I remember them saying something about not wanting the hats or helmets to look strange but the Twi'leks lekku would clip through every hat. All I wanted was a very small hat in between my montrals, but my prayers were never answered. In ff I CAN where the hats but most look derpy on au'ra female model making our necks and heads look smaller. Much armor helmets look fine, but some of those hats look just silly. I send my sympathies to you and hope viera and hrothgar get hat capabilities. My uncle plays hrothgar and makes a joke every event because he totally would wear the hats. When he found out he could wear some of them he stocked up in his glamour dresser. In the same respect people do wear the hats I know every event my partner makes a glamour for it, they may not wear it all the time, but they really like the male lala with a beard being able to wear over the top headgear. Gosh they have so many hats and decided against swapping to bunny boy mostly due to this aspect of the game being locked off when switching. Though I think it is more than hats, I do not think they could part with their very rugged dwarven lala. Even bought the drinking ale emote >.<

Go to any major city and take a look how many people have "hide helmet" enabled, are using "Emperor's New Hat" or are wearing some inconsequential hairpin or a flower. In the end, the demand for hats and helmets is generally pretty low on top of even narrower subset of specifically viera/hrothgar players who want hats. Heavily investing development time into them just isn't logical. Sorry, not sorry.

What's illogical is creating a race in a way that they cannot wear an important type of glamour.

Some people really seem to dislike the Kabuto, and I'm not sure why. I rather like them.

They of course look best with heavy armor and Eastern glamour, but they are a helmet.
It feels like a lot of people don't like helmets.

Sometimes it's nice to wear something skimpy and revealing, and sometimes it's nice to be head to toe, covered in heavy armor that doesn't show much skin.
Both extremes have their place and are valid.

I think the Kabuto look really nice, when paired with the appropriate gear. And I think every race ought to be able to wear them(and headgear of all sorts in general).
